IKEA in the USA is the same. You handle your own items, you carry it out to the car, you set it up, shipping is not free. I’ve never been to a price mart in DR. As an American I’d probably be a little skeptical buying a mattress in a place that’s not well known and reputable to me because a lot of mattresses even in the USA are refurbished….. you kind of get what you pay for most of the time in DR…. Just my opinion….I am remodeling my home in DR and will be buying a lot of my stuff at IKEA so this was really useful for me… I wasn’t sure about pricing in Ikea at DR. Great content.

Lol...I can't believe you've never been in an IKEA. The way they set up it for you to walk through the entire store. Brilliant! All IKEA store have the same process when you buy items that need to come out the warehouse. It's not because it DR. You wait in the US too..

IKEA in the us does the same…. They are going to charge for delivery, set up ( if you need) and they handed to you, for you to figure out how to place it in your car…

I let my wife take the lead while shopping for appliances and home goods because thats her territory. Even when I went to the public clinic, she scolded the staff for trying to take advantage of me financially, the reason, I'm viewed as a tourist and she, a Calleja Chica until they see our rings
