The Navy Yard is Southeast DC, And the borderline is split between the nationals Park which is on the Southeast side across is where The DMV is and were the 7/11 used to be before they recently tore it down

Yup. I schooled at Howard University. Moved to Houston, Texas in 2012. Now, I'm thinking about moving back to the DMV. A lot has changed.

Thank you for all of this information! My daughter moved to the area and we love the SW waterfront! I could tell that it has been gentrified. Hopefully our people will be able to hold onto what they still have. SW Atlanta is going through something similar and it was all planned. Mayor Bottoms advised people to not sell their family’s property! Know your worth!

I appreciate your very thorough and detailed analysis. I am moving to the Navy Yard at the end of this month after graduation. The area was vibrant and relatively clean and I felt safe walking around when we visited during the Cherry Blossom festival to apartment hunt. I love the access to the many restaurants and grocery stores (Harris Teeter and Whole Foods). I am excited to call Washington DC my new home!
