They weren't hospitable because of racism or unfairness, trust me. In Pakistan and parts of India, there is a group of people called Pathans (I think) and they are known to be benevolent since they really follow the teaching of giving to ones neighbor and treating a guest properly. Racism or fear had no part in this, it was just a beautiful display of loving one's neighbor. They would have done the same for me or you, or anybody.
