Really appreciate what you said about voice weight. I'm a mezzo and my choir director turned to me once saying *"your voice is so thick!"* 😠 like it's the most terrible thing. I'd only been singing for 18 months and it just made me self-conscious and set me back in my learning. I understand now that I needed to blend better into the choir, but I decided to stop while I'm developing my technique because holding back constantly just doesn't feel good right now.

I had that problem of vocal weight as student and performer, especially singing in choirs.
