They will fail with temp changes over time-tip-drill something in you CAN fix holes invisible afterwards. Plenty of tips online how to do that but yeah I think any temp change over time plus weight of curtains and rods and they will just come off

I haven't used adhesive curtain rod holders, but every single adhesive product I've used, even for relatively light items, has fallen in summer. If you're in an area that never gets above 75f/24c or blast the ac literally 24/7, you might be ok, but otherwise they'll likely fall

​@@CameronSadieAnd to make the dryer hack work even better put a white sock dampened with water in with them. When they come out, while still warm either hang them right away or spread flat until cooled. If you do one panel at a time it should work flawlessly. This will also work for your clothes 😊.

If you don’t have a steamer setting on your dryer, you will need to throw in a damp towel along with the curtains.

The best solution is to use ceiling fixed curtain tracks. It's permanent and will cover the entire area. Do not go for adhesive based hangers or fixers, the adhesive will not stay longer in summer nor they make cleaning easy later on for maintenance, they're also not suitable for heavier curtains or double curtains. Always go for tracks over rods in situations like these, the ones that can be hinged or flushed to the ceiling. (Coming from an interior designer)

Ceiling is vaulted. How would you do ceiling fixed tracks?

"Window Material" = probably aluminum. Get some metal screws and a drill, screw them in the bracket holes before the adhesive fails, it's not a question of if, it's when.

I never saw the peel and stick holders but i did see magnetic curtain rod sets designed to just stick to modern metal window frames.

Amazon reviews on these self adhesive curtain rod holders are really bad. Good idea , however, the adhesive doesn’t hold up in warm/cold temps. Almost ordered some and I’m glad I didn’t.

@@noemigonzalez1254 Any suggestions for wall to wall windows and to the ceiling. I have a steel bulkhead one side , a brick wall the other side and less than an inch window frame up top. Only solution i see is a ceiling rod but its a rental and ceiling is in bad shape with hidden water damage. Just stuck fir diy and I ve researched and have seen nithing like what I have. 45 yr old building. Back in the day they used pleated curtains and I guess screws that open up in the ceiling? No simple solutions but thanks for the reply.

Great idea for light weight curtains. But for heavier drapes, i use track system that mounts to the ceiling from ikea. Just saying, not diminishing your great idea ❤

Thank you! Yes unfortunately this whole room does not have a spot to drill into. The ceiling is vaulted and made out of the same material as the windows :)

It isnt the sticky holding it up, that keeps it in place. That last step to snap the clip in is a suction cup. That is the strength holding it up.

I did something similar a while back and I will say it lasted about 1 year and then I need to re-buy the peel & stick. But it’s cheap and not a big deal if you don’t mind having it as a consumable :)

Hmm 🤔 wondering if those will stay on especially in cold weather. I have a large sunroom like that and recently purchased sort of the same type of stick to hang a broom (for my cats litter box) and it will not stay on the wall. I think it maybe bc of the changes in temperature esp cold weather. Just my two cents..😊looks nice otherwise..

I bought those too. They lasted for a few months. Then one day I came home from work and the curtains were on the ground. I followed the directions to a T. There is a small hole so you can drill in a screw or use a small nail. I used a small nail and have had no issues since. I totally get that you didn’t want to drill a hole though. Let us know in a few months how these worked out for you😊

It worked fine for 3 weeks, then came crashing down. Damaged the top layer of the wall, I have had to patch it up and paint it. Had to do exactly what I tried avoiding in the first place, ugh.
