Good clean up. Mine is down as well. It feels so good to get the house back in order. I am just exhausted but thankful for another year ahead! Sending love and many blessings. I’m going to Wichita this coming Friday to see my dad and sister who couldn’t make it for Christmas!

Hi. Absolutely love your home. Very peaceful. 🥰 I grew up learning to completely undecorate before the New Year comes in. We had to have a spotless home for the Year end bringing in the Year with only permanent decorations, no dirty laundry or no emotional stresses. We eat black eyed peas, cornbread, collard greens and pork as our first meal. Everyone in my family still follow these traditions as they are from my ancestors of generations back…as far as I can remember as a teeny tiny little girl.

@@DonniceDaleLivingSpace I am 68 and I first heard my grandmother mom say these things when I was very little. Then I would hear my mom say it. I raised my daughter, 37, with the same traditions and beliefs. All I know is what they taught me. Did they bring “good luck” etc. 🤷🏽‍♀️ but they are def a family tradition. 😂🥰

My Christmas decorations won't be down until the end of January. I had kitchen cabinets in the living room, and I started late. I have a lot of baskets from years ago, and I either spray paint them or use the paint I use on the wall to paint them. Have a Blessed New Year.

😊 hey donnice loving the new makeover i took my christmas stuff down on dec 26th now im decorating for a beautiful winter theme thru my apt make it look like magical winterland while putting a little valentines day to it then in march ill change itto a spring theme with easter then when summer comes i change it again then fall theme i dont celebrate Halloween i go back to christmas my winter theme my favorite colors i love anything bling i have silver pretty color teal and pretty peacock blue and white 😊 happy newyear 🎉
