I’ve worked in the decorating and remodeling field for over 45 years and for years and years I have used Behr Swiss coffee on a big majority of my jobs even in my own home. I keep a quart of it under the shelf and I don’t wash around my light switches. I actually touch them up with Swiss coffee and it always blends right in. I don’t care which can of Swiss Coffee you use it always look like you’ve just painted your walls. Good stuff and your home is adorable and so are you🌷🌷🌷

Yes, the wall looks so much better and I think it's a great idea to put a frame around the TV. Also, the lighter feeling of the bookshelves, the better, IMO. It looks great so far, Steph!

Stephanie your home is so very pretty. All the procrastination you say you have done and having a hard time making decisions has really created the beauty of your home. I tend to be the opposite. I can be to impulsive in home changes and then regret it. Really like the corner stand of Timmy's things. Timmy had a beautiful sincere singing voice and he was enjoyable to listen to. That's a beautiful painting of you and Timmy. Nice to have a song from Timmy while you're painting. The wall turned out great, but I would avoid painting your door black. Dark colors make a room feel/look smaller. I'm all for not having everything white, but there are many colors to pick and you'll know when you see it. BTW, love the shirt/color you're wearing at the start and end. Have a great week!

So sorry for the loss of your husband. I lost my husband to cancer a few weeks ago. It really made an impact when you commented on the size of the picture of you and Timmy. A close friend had a large canvas made from a picture of my husband and me. Its the first thing I look at every morning. Just the size of it just seems so real. Im sure we are going through a lot of the same emotions. A good day, a bad day. Will be praying for you.

That's funny, I was going to paint my living, dining and hallway that color, but decided after getting a sample of paint, to go with natural linen. Love watching your channel!! I've lost 2 husband's and know what your going through......but God's grace is sufficient, you will get stronger just keep looking up..God Bless!

My daughter heard Timmy's singing and asked if that was Elvis. I love how the room has brightened up. I just moved into a house with paneling (1972) and am considering painting some rooms and the hallway because it is dark. The difficult part will be deciding what colors.

Hey Stephanie! I’m amazed at the coverage of that paint over the black….wow, I thought it would take several coats! The room instantly got so much brighter! I agree with you that bookcases with open sides would be a great fit, solid ones would feel so heavy and blocked in, and a fireplace is a great idea! I started to say maybe Shane and Merina could come up and help you build it, but they’re gonna be having a field day working on their new home! Im SO excited for them! Hope you have an amazing week! Sweetie, I feel awful that I haven’t commented on your videos in SO long; honestly I’ve been trying to navigate through a terrible depression since a heartbreaking experience 2 years ago, and I’m finally feeling ready to try and get back into life. And I apologize from the bottom of my heart for not reaching out when you lost your adorable, funny, talented, loving and handsome Timmy. When I finally heard about your shocking loss, all I wanted to do was wrap my arms around you and promise you that he’s in a better place, healthy and happy! But I also knew that wasn’t going to lessen the devastating loss you were dealing with, and I just couldn’t find the right words to share with you due to being so emotional overwhelmed myself. But you’ve been on my mind non-stop since, and seeing you in this video really forced me to reach out you you. Despite the heartache you’re enduring, you have absolutely blossomed in every way on your channel! You’re actually glowing with Timmy’s love from heaven! You just need to be confident in your true gifts! The reality is you have an amazing decorating/gardening eye, you have a sweet and gracious heart, you have an adorably funny, self-deprecating sense of humor, and you’re naturally beautiful! You’ve made your house into a warm, welcoming and beautiful home (which isn’t an easy thing to accomplish), and you’ve done it on your own or with the help of your amazing mom & dad (he must be so proud of your woodworking skills)! And you’ve done it all on a really tight budget! You truly are an inspiration! And thanks to you, I am determined to push myself out of my own sadness and grief and get back to living again! 💞

Oh I love the Swiss Coffee! I remodeled my whole house I used to live in. I had all the walls painted and they were all painted Swiss Coffee. My house was on the small size and that painting of the Swiss Coffee sure opened it up. I think you will love it. By painting the doors black I would think it would make the room look smaller and chopped up. Flowing colors in the same shade make the rooms look bigger and cleaner in my opinion for what that is worth. Love that painting of you and Timmy. I think some book cases on either side of the TV will help make it look like it was meant to be in the space, I see what you mean about the stark white but I love the color, a border on the TV will look so high end especially with a gold trim. Perhaps when you do paint your door black it will complement the TV which is black as well. You do such a great job Stephanie, you are so talented! I am sure you will bring it all together! Nice job!
