Hi Tanelia, New subscriber and new to the channel. I am loving your beautiful home. I am the same way when the decor doesn't balance. I completely understand when you want the 50% off but at least you were able to get the 15% off I am sure the new size will work fine. I purchased a new rug too and I looking forward to adding it to my family room. Wait till you order your chairs or you can also paint your table your your floors are beautiful too. I looooovvvvvveeeee the rug and the table. In the breakfast nook I'd probbaly do the 8x8 just so it's square to the room. I'd also love the entertaining content. We have similar taste and I'd be interested to see how you decorate to entertain.

Hi Tanelia. Wait until you find your replacement chairs and decor for the breakfast nook before deciding on a rug. You may find you don’t need a rug to cover your beautiful floor. Plus you can use this budget on another project.😊 If so, don’t forget to put felt pads on the bottom of the chair legs. Thanks for sharing your beautiful finds.

Hello, I am a new subscriber. I don't have a channel myself, however I am self taught interior decorator as yourself. Just a suggestion, look online example of a great dining chair...look online Wayfair for the - Kandy Parson Chair for your round table. I think this type of parsons chair would look so nice. The traditional wood grain doesn't have to be a perfect match just blended colors from the collage. I am sure this style of particular chair is sold at other furniture stores. Hope you and your husband find them appealing. Look forward to your next video.

FYI : If you really really really like the style of the chairs-spray paint (or stain) the wood, and order (Amazon) slip-on seat covers in the color you desire (or recover with material); you will have the chair of your dreams! I’ve done that many times when nothing seemed to take the place of ones that I liked, but not the right color. Cost was very minimal and the outcome was phenomenal.

I've already returned the chairs, but thanks so much for the suggestion. I never thought to cover the seat with my fabric of choice. I'll definitely keep this information for a future project. 👍🏽

Hi, Kathy and thank you for watching! The process of building our dream home was a long and extensive one, and decorating and furnishing it will be just as long of a process, if not longer. However, I thoroughly enjoy it as I'm turning my house into a home. But along the way, there will be times where items that I purchase at the store and/or online are not as appealing to me when I see them in my home. I'm sure it happens to everyone. And I feel like that's okay. I'm here to document and share my journey, and sometimes think outloud about the choices/purchases I made. I'm sure there will be other exchanges and returns as I continue on this journey, but I know none of these things are causing me to lose sleep or upset me any manner. I actually enjoy the process of figuring out what works best in my home. Again, thanks for watching and I hope to see you at the next video.
