Hi Tanelia! I think you should get a rug pad. The one I got from Target is really soft and plush. It makes a thin rug feel better. It also absorbs spills, which is important when you have wood floors. Your rug is lovely! I don't think you went too big - you could have gone bigger! Getting all the legs of the furniture entirely on the rug is a personal preference though.

Hi, Dolores! Thanks for the rug pad suggestion. I’ve actually been eyeing some and think I may purchase one. The rug is thin and could use a rug pad underneath. If I would have went with a 10x14 all the furniture would have definitely sat on the rug and looked really good. But it would stick out a little too far in the walkway and I didn’t want to cause a tripping hazard.

A tip for you all with rugs if you lay it out in the sun and stretch it throughout it will relax the wrinkles dramatically!

Thank you! I found a couple of rugs on Ruggable that I liked, but none for the living room space. However, RugsUSA had quite a few washable rugs that I like. I actually purchased a couple and returned them because they weren’t the right size and color. But I’m going to purchase another one for the den.

I love the gas lanterns on your front porch. I purchased a new rug from Amazon and I was unhappy with it because of how wrinkled and curled up...it wouldn't stay late flat so I'm interested in finding out if yours continue to flatten out and stay flat. Excited about the birthday bash. The candleholders are very unique and different. Beautiful bench seating. I think 18 x 18 pillow would work best. TFS

That’s odd that you didn’t get the accent LOL And if you can use the tile for something, go for it. We got our tile from a local tile store, but I saw a similar tile on the Home Depot website. However, our tile is 6x6, and the HD tile is 4x4.

Hi,I think the membership was $250/year. And it was definitely worth it when making big purchases as it provides you with a 25% discount. Granted, the furniture is still expensive Lol, but the 25% saves you a lot of money.

You could have went smaller for the rug. Even 8x10 would’ve worked. I think it’s too big for my taste. I like more wood flooring to show but it’s a nice rug.

U do have a lot of wood. I think it’s more if I am used to seeing some of all the chairs touching the wood and not completely on the rug.

Hi, I see what you’re saying. I measured the space for an 8x10 and it wasn’t big enough. Well, at least for my preference. I’m going to keep the rug as is for a little while and decide if I want to turn it. If I do, that’ll show more of the wood under the chairs. These things are definitely trial and error. Lol
