As I have commented so many times, RCA Camden records had some of the most beautiful music available anywhere. It was a so-called "budget" label, but on a whole their recordings were better than much of what was released on the parent label RCA Victor. Their "Living Series" were top notch! I have many, many great and thoroughly enjoyable LPs on this label. Plus, if you wanted to wait, you could get many of the so-called "premium" recordings from it's parent label re-released on RCA Camden, even though most of the time with 1 or 2 tracks less. But still, they were a major bargain at half the cost!

Mono recordings were definitely on their way out in 1970, but there were still some being released. This record, I believe, was originally issued as a mono recording in the early 1960s, and if it IS a re-issue, it, too, would be mono unless they remastered it for stereo (usually only done for popular records). It was not uncommon in the 1960s to find both stereo and mono releases of the same record, because there was still a lot of mono equipment in service. There was some debate about playing 'stereo' records on mono phonographs - something about it not sounding 'right', IIRC.
