Well done! I lived in my 2015 Honda Civic for 4 weeks. I pulled my passenger seat completely forward, removed the headrest, laid it back as far as it would go, went to Walmart bought 8 cheap ($2.50) pillows built up the front seat, made my bed, bought a sunvisor for the windshield covered all the windows and it was extremely comfortable. I am 5’5” and I still had plenty a room.

They can actually still charge you for that no matter where you are sitting especially if it’s your car and you’re the only one in it. The passenger seat is more spacious and is probably safer in general as someone might assume you are not alone.

This is brilliant I want to do something similar as I can’t fly, and a train doesn’t really afford me everything I need to be able to manage traveling (plus it’s expensive) . I too am overly sensitive to the sun. I turn red with any exposure, burn being in it longer than 2 minutes, and blister faster than “normal people”. I own a large amount of sun proof clothing, gloves and scarves to protect myself. (Because I can’t use any sunscreen I’ve found) Autoimmune can suck. I am not sure if it is within your budget, but I had my rheumatologist (for autoimmune) write me a prescription for darker window tint on sides and back of my car (our tint laws are crap here). And for the front I use the weather tech custom fitted window shield. Nothing gets through that thing and it’s brilliant when I’ve had to pull over for quick naps while traveling. ❤
