Living the Christ Life

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:1

For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better. But if I live, I can do more fruitful work for Christ. So I really don’t know which is better. I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me. But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live. Philippians 1:21
What does it mean to truly live the Christ life?
#1. How can I be sure God is working in my life? I don't see any progress?
I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6
A person's initial spiritual experience is life-changing, but then life happens.
Story of Joseph (Genesis 37)
When Joseph was seventeen years old, he often tended his father’s flocks. One night Joseph had a dream. Soon Joseph had another dream. How jealous brother sell him into slavery Joseph Sold him into slave to traders on their way to Egypt for 20 piece of silver. (Jesus was sold for 30 - value of a slave in Exodus 32:21)
Story of Nehemiah (Nehemiah 2)
The King of Persia noticed his cupboard, Nehemiah appeared troubled, asking, “Why are you looking so sad? You don’t look sick to me. You look deeply troubled.” Then the king asked, “Well, how can I help you?” Nehemiah responded, “Send me to Judah to rebuild Jerusalem.”
Isaiah 55:11 - (NKJV) So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, it shall accomplish what I please, it shall prosper.
Romans 8:28 - "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
Jeremiah 29:11 - "'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’”
Hebrews 13:5 - "For God has said, 'I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.'"
#2. What if my struggles are not obstacles but rather opportunities for fulfilling God's purpose?
I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters, that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News. For everyone here, including the whole palace guard, knows that I am in chains because of Christ. And because of my imprisonment, most of the believers here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message without fear. Philippians 1:12
#3. Does my daily life reflect the gospel I claim to believe?”
Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Philippians 1:27
What does it mean to truly live the Christ life?
It means to acknowledge God, follow His leading, and trust Him.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him,And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5
