Living under wooden pallets for month and too scared to let humans help.

Kirby needed help. He knew it, but he was even too scared of the women who fed him for months... he would just take the food, and run back to his safe spot. Luckily, someone suggested "Call Hope For Paws" and JoAnn Wiltz was there to pick up that call.
JoAnn brought a cheeseburger, so Kirby wanted to hear more about her proposal for surrendering, and before he managed to blink, JoAnn got him!

These kinds of dogs aren't built for outdoor survival. Poodles and cockapoos etc. Are meant to be indoor pets. They just aren't built for outdoor survival. Even if they were, no domestic animal ever deserves to be dumped on the streets to fend for itself. there are shelters that will take them and if not that, you can always post on fb and give the unwanted animal away for free

It is always amazing to see the change in the animals when they are just saved and usually it starts after the bubble bath and when they are at their foster home or their forever home the physiognomie is totally different they radiate and have much fun So moving to be able to share those moments

It is always a high light when they are clipped and bathed--often going to sleep, obviously feeling relief and safe. I always note I am retired and on a fixed income and am a small automatic monthly donor--we get to see the results! I know that small automatic donations if there are enough of use become a big part of saving the animals, keeping the wheels turning, the gas in the tank, and the 80% are better than goes to the animals cleanup, vetting, surgeries, food, and off to foster and special rescues. Really, just a couple of items in your grocery basket would do the job. So, this is for all those that cannot speak for themselves.

He looks so much like our family dog, Fuzzy. Last relic from my dad before he died in '75. Fuzzy - '75 to '89, hit by cars 5 times, since he chased them, and lived through each one (lived in a neighborhood, it was different before leash laws and I was a kid. He also ran away from any strangers that watched him. One time, he made it halfway across town. Even the radio back then was bringing attention to it. A man got him by bringing out his child. I loved that dog and mourned for years.. Supposed to be a cock-a-poo but was a Schnauzer mixed with poodle (or possibly mixed with cocker spaniel) but definitely had Schnauzer in him. Wish I could adopt him but too pricey (dental work, broken window & appliances, car cost over $2000 in repairs this year, $1,000 plus just 2 weeks ago, so not possible & in FL!). Boo! Hope he finds a loving home. Even scraggly, I could see the similarity.
