Glad you didn't buy into those guys' critique of the old Targa. Love the ride height, love the quirkiness, love that it isn't concours condition. It's an old driver quality car that put a smile on your face.

Backin the late 70’s my dad and I took a road trip from Scottsdale to Manhattan Beach and all the towns around there… whilst my dad really wasn’t into cars he encouraged me to enjoy my excitement EVERY time I saw something fun…mostly Porsches. Five years later, while stationed in Hawaii, I found myself owning a ‘62 356B living my best life. The LA Porsche bug bit and made a huge impression. Thanks for the video. It brought back some great memories.

It's not that Spike and Zuckerman and Jonny don't appreciate the car. Spike and Zuckerman especiall,y love old Porsches and own them. Something I’ve learned over the years-It’s critical to know your way around your own classic car. Most of the things that go wrong on these cars are roadside-repairable. If you don’t know how to maintain your vehicle, you’re gonna have a bad time.

Pretty sure that's what happiness is, ignoring those that pick apart and point out all of the flaws, and enjoying what you've got. Also, if this were scripted, the perfect line would have been "this car and I, we have each other's backs" and then the seat back breaks

For those wondering, he was at Alfred Coffee on Melrose Place in West Hollywood (a SUBLIME walking street btw….NOT Melrose ave, Melrose PLACE). Driving any of the Canyon roads to Malibu is spectacular (Malibu Canyon, Kanan, etc), and he was at Blue Bottle Coffee next to the Whole Foods behind the Malibu Country Mart. (Excellent shopping, and dining….Cafe Habana (Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber restaurant, and Res Ipsa clothing stores…..and Fred Segal, a few not to be missed). If ever in Beverly Hills, breakfast at the Fountain Room Cafe at The Beverly Hills Hotel is NOT to be missed!! ……Excellent video!

Classics are always just about to break down, but that isn't just part of the adventure. It is part of it's character. It's part of the relationship with the car, or on my case, jeep cj2a at the moment. When we make it to our destination, I feel like the vehicle really pushed itself to get me through the day. When it lets me down, I think of it as a bit of a rascal and go about fixing it. It is about the relationship.
