What challenges do you all face with your hearing loss?

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I identify with so much of what you're saying. I used to fight with my parents every day about wearing my hearing aids and especially using the FM system. Only recently have I actually started accepting my disability. I've been calling rude countless times. The thing that always kills me is when people tell me I'm not listening. They don't understand that I'm really trying

Hearing loss can also be very visible in echoey environments like gym class or certain lecture halls or even in certain classrooms.

Story of my life! Video suggestions: Your unique “hearing journey” experience, important accommodations to have in the academic and work setting for the D/deaf and HoH, how to gain the confidence to advocate for yourself, and the difference between a hearing aid and a cochlear implant. I know everyone’s different, but I know that you probably know the main ones. Sending hugs from one bionic woman to another! Questions for your 100 question video: -When were you diagnosed? -What are you studying for your Masters? -When did you get diagnosed? -Did you lose your hearing over time or have you been deaf since birth?

For me, I felt ashamed ....I didnt grow up around other h of h people so I didnt know what my identity about. I felt lost so I did hide my hearing loss bc I didnt know where I belonged..it took a long time to feel comfortable.....to accept myself...
