"When u have a mental illness, every single day is a battle." I felt that and I want to tell this to everyone including my older self who used to think that if u have mental illness u r weak :( sadly society makes us believe this but ask yourself, the tasks that r easy for others r a challenge to u..trust me u r stronger than them coz u r going through so much and still not giving up and doing your best♡ Once I understood this I became more positive about myself and it helped so much

Daniel, you are probably the only stand-up comedian who ponders upon real issues & make them funny too by explaining them n your own way & also pushing us tk think over it. Anxiety + depression are real problems faced by every other person these days n this is difficult to overcome. Only "will" & time can make you better.

I suffer from several mental illnesses and this hit home with me. I understand feeling and constantly thinking I am going to die then going into full on fight or flight several times a day. It can last hours and even days. Depression on top of that makes it to where I feel it is too much to handle and that I am a burden on those I love due to what I go through. Every single day is a battle to get through. If you are going through it as well just know you are not alone. We will make it through this we are stronger than our illnesses.

"This would have been so much simpler if our friends were easier to trust" is one of the most relatable things I've ever heard out of a stand-up comedian's mouth. Maybe not in the way of "my friends can't keep secrets," though; in my case, it's because I can't trust my friends not to cut all contact with me for talking to them about my stress, even once. I just feel like I'm walking on eggshells with everyone, all the time.

And the worse thing about it is that there's no quick fix so that you can avoid a weeks-long PAUSE in everything. Even with meds.

I actually have 2 genetic rare disorders that I have battled with for 45 years. They both cause severe pain, fatigue, anxiety, and depression, and about 50 other symptoms. I was only diagnosed once I convinced my doctor to let me see a specialist in genetics. The blood work proved that it wasn’t in my head. We have such an epidemic of mental illness that our doctors now ignore everything they can’t understand, and waste years of our lives trying to convince us that our anxiety is the issue. That may be true for some, but not all of us, so we need to stand together in educating others about this very real issue!

The last where he said, if our friends were easier to trust. Went to therapy twice and realised my good friends do the same thing as what my therapist does. Unless you are on medications or suicidial I highly recommend building a safe tribe of your own. Also, someone recently questioned me about how we can talk so much about anxiety. Took me 6 years to be here and tell that person I have anxiety issues only to be mocked at. So, ya choose your tribe carefully. I thought that person would be a friend soon, but I guess they have more learning to do on empathy part. But yeah, have my tribe and wish and pray for each one of you to have
