Life isn’t easy for Geneva Tino who lives with Cerebral Palsy. It’ll be an exciting year for the 24-year-old as she finishes her Communications degree, embarks on a career in Public Relations, and embraces her Maori heritage by learning Te Reo Maori with the help of her TalkLink device.

"In my dreams, I can talk and my voice sounds like my cousins'." How sweet. She is so precious that I can't stand it. She is only a few years younger than me and I get incredibly nervous ordering in the drive thru, lol. To see her bravely ordering in a restaurant without anxiety was great. She's so awesome and I hope she achieves everything she dreams. 💜

I’m sorry that happens to you my dear. When anxiety and nervousness happens this is the first sign that you gut microbiome is out of Oder. It’s very important to have the right types of bacteria in your gut. The gut and the brain are working together. 90% of your serotonin production happens within the gut. Lactobacillus Helveticus R0052 is just that bacteria to do this job. Lactobacillus Casie 01 is supper against any inflammation within the body. Especially within the intestines which can affect your nervous system. The good bacteria are communicators. They help our cells talk to each other. Along with the “hormone D3” which every cell in the body needs for communication. SOB probiotics are key for digestion. Best taken straight on the tongue and swallowing. Not in the gel cap. This is key for the breakdown of nutrition. I could get into much deeper detail. But that is up to you if you would like more info. I will suggest going to a naturopathic doctor. You won’t be sorry. I assure you that. Blessings to your day. I hope I find you feeling well. 💕

You go girl! My ex-boyfriend who is normally considered to be healthy in every way, is far more disabled than you ever were because he is unwilling to do anything productive at all. He is almost 30 and has been living in his parents' basement and doesn't see any need for change. I'm a adopted too, and I'm glad your parents really love you for all that you are and ever will be. Best of luck to you and your future!

Cp is caused by any brain damage or brain malformation before birth, during birth or right after birth during brain development, some cp is caused by oxygen deprivation or stroke during brain delopment also. I have mild cp caused by brain malformation during pregnancy. I was born with a smooth brain instead of ridges

I have spastic hemiplegia cerebral palsy and I've just graduated from high school this year. I'm going to start attending a community college to earn my Associate's degree in graphic design, I'm also going to learn how to drive sometime during this summer. No matter how cerebral palsy affects a person, it should never prevent them from achieving their goals and dreams. Even though I have limited use of my left hand, I am still able to do various things that able bodied people can do only in a different way adapted for me.

Geneva's a beautiful girl. My best friend has CP too. Sh e has 3 college degrees and drives a van, yet can't find a job in her degree field because of people's attitudes. Her CP is very mild, but with my LD, I kinda know how she feels because with just 1 degree I also had trouble finding jobs too. One advice: don't move to a small town, especially in the South. People here are horribly backwards; even at the college where we met, they didn't thing she should go into teaching. They let a girl go into teaching who couldn't pass the teacher certification test, yet wouldn't give my friend a chance. Fortunately, after her 3rd degree, she passed and became a substitute teacher. She also worked retail before sh e got married, moved to a small town, and had her son. He's 15 now and doing fine so far.

The more I watch these videos from Attitude, the more I realize that USA is horribly failing our disabled community. Seeing examples from other nations on how to simply treat differently-abled people with dignity and watching them shine when held to a high standard is beautiful and really sets the bar high for us as well. I hope to see citizens of the USA treated with as much value as New Zealand and Australia treats all of their citizens. This is truly what being inclusive looks like. Much love.

This was so great to watch, and so well-done. Sadly, it's very easy to immediately look down on someone who is different. It's videos like these and interactions with individuals like Geneva that remind us that just because someone has a disability, that absolutely does not mean that they are beneath us, know less than us, or are less capable. I loved every minute of this, and think everyone should watch it.

There have been scientific studies performed that show that expectations of people surrounding a subject have a profound and measurable effect on the subject's success. In other words, the way that Geneva's community treats her and believes in her limitless potential has definitely helped with her success. I hope people can watch this and recognize the importance of a positive support system, for this is beautiful example. I commend not only Geneva for her determination, strength, and overall positive attitude, but also her family and friends for helping her shine! It's so odd to me how I can relate so much with this as all of these things have been issues that I have overcome throughout my life in order to keep surviving. At my best when I could stay calm, I am completely normal and seem to outperform everyone around me. The moment I feel anxiety creeping in it's like my whole body shuts down and my mind is just barely holding on. Now I have multiple panic attacks a day which causes me to only have energy to physically do things for maybe 2 to 6 hours in a day. Never knew what was wrong with me as due to my anxiety I can mask all of my symptoms very easily and cannot properly communicate under anxiety. The thing is that the only thing in my medical file that suggests CP came around 5 years ago when I developed chronic pain from a nerve contusion. Nothing came out of all the imaging tests and nerve tests except that my reflexes were hyperactive and a bunch of other neurological issues that I was showing. That's when a neurologist suggested that it is most likely a form of mild cerebral palsy. I didn't understand what that meant then as I made it to the age of 25 before I started seeing my health issues as actual issues in my life when it just kept falling apart no matter how hard I tried. The good thing is that I'm getting better at it every time. I still don't know how I maintained full time jobs for around 9 years straight and was even a supervisor for the last 3 years in the mining sample prepping division of a couple labs. In my eyes I'm still normal and have no disabilities as it's all I know. My life makes more and more sense the more I'm discovering about my body the hard way lol through experience. I grew up in an area that was pretty much in another era of time. People don't understand what they don't go through. Still don't know what's actually wrong with me just know that I could somehow relate to this.

Your beautiful and so is family. I know if more people looked at this to understand that it doesn't matter what it looks like on outside but to look in the inside because we're all the same. Your showing people that being disabled is a label and you have so more than on the inside than can be seen. I'm disabled too I have MS and DDD which I had to have back surgery for and I also have epilepsy, glaucoma, carpal tunnel, high blood pressure, high cholesterol too. All from the time I was 21. I can't do all things want to do. You can do more things than I can do. Your a real Hero to others. Wnd you can reach for the stars and even get that star and as many as you want too.

My brother was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when he was a few months old and not hitting the right mil3stones for his age. Sometimes I'm scared for his future and don't understand how he sees the world but this gives me hope. This gives me a different pérspective. It gives me hope.🙄

It's so nice to see that you have your support worker that takes you out so that you can enjoy your life. She includes you in girly, girl stuff. It is difficult to show people that you are like anyone else. It's the muscles that are hard to control. I wish you all the best in life.

I kind of giggled when she was going through her checklist in the morning. She said “I have my wheelchair…“ Does that need to go on a checklist? That’s almost like putting “put pants on before leaving the house“ on a check list. I mean just saying… I have cerebral palsy as well.
