Hi Gabriella I am so scared can Hocd mean this is true I feel I really want to go out and do it but then thought OCD and my therapist said this means we are not. Really need help

@@lister11811 hey! No, I literally have urges that make me feel like I’m about to harm someone. I’m not going to, I haven’t hurt anyone. If you don’t believe you’d harm someone or that you want to and these thoughts are intrusive, you simply have OCD, but sometimes the OCD will try to sneak up on you and make you think that it’s not OCD, but IGNORE THE OCD, close a door on its face, literally, imagine closing a door on its face.

@@lister11811 I would seriously consider looking into exposure response prevention therapy. Do not give into your OCD. You can get this treated.

oh my goodness we are identical! i also horse ride i’m a teenager have had suicidal ocd, harm ocd and orientation ocd. thats so crazy how similar we are

I am so scared now as I have been doing therapy for OCD and doing ERP but feel I have realised I am Gay and all therapy I have had I was told people with ocd don’t become there themes but can it happen as I feel I know I am.. literally freaking out everyday 24/7 why have therapists told me this can be true. Really need help as I thought this doesn’t happen from all I have listened to a read

I have crippling OCD but I have no intrusive thoughts, would ERP even work for me? I don't have any fears of hurting people or myself or anything about my sexuality. It's mostly around symmetry and being "clean". I don't know how to get over it.

You mentioned orientation ocd. Was it like you were questioning yourself? Am curious because I’m about to start with a NOCD therapist next week and really want to get my life back. I’m a 41 year old man has been with beautiful wife for 24 years and started having obsessive intrusive thoughts about my orientation. They really mess with me
