I doubt there’s a better looking bird to be found anywhere in the world, scrumptiously adorable and I’m all the more lucky to have them as my neighbours, great video.

Thank you for this great educational video of our beautiful native birds and how best to care for them in extraordinary situations. A Tawny frogmouth visits our garden each night and sits on our clothes line. It's an adult bird and looks really cute😊

Amazing. I have those around my home in Toorak Melbourne Victoria Australia. Last November 1st 2020, I found a baby currawong chick fallen from a massive gum tree. My neighbours and I, hand fed and watered, till she was a fledgling, then we support fed her as she lived in the trees around our apartment building. I called her Chloe currawong. She is living in Belgrave forest now, and I hope that we don't have bush fires in Australia this Summer. Great documentary. Love Princess Holly of Swampy marshes toorak Melbourne Victoria Australia 🕊🌿🌳🌲🍀🌴🌵🐛🌳

You know when a tawny frogmouth is around from its soft call oom-oom-oom-oom.they stay very still and look just like part of a tree branch.

Beautiful cute creepy birds! I wish I was a bird ... I can't pull off that "I don't give a shit but I'm watching you" confidence look that birds have.

Many thanks for this information. I had five of these beauties perched on a stringybark tree positioned immediately outside our back door last week - I only noticed them because of their noise - their camouflage within the tree was amazing and I only noticed them because one of the chicks moved. Mum with two chicks and two other medium-sized chicks (I assume they were older chicks) in a branch above them. Love your work. (Point Clare NSW).

I found a Marbled Frogmouth in our garden on Good Friday 2017, in Logan on the southside of Brisbane, Queensland. I heard a commotion going on in the tree out side our front gate and saw numerous magpies and noisy miners. I knew they had a target but couldn't figure out what or where. After a while the victim tried to make a move and ended up hitting a window and falling into our rockery area. The noise from the gang got louder, so I went out to investigate with my umbrella(brave aren't I). This is when I found the Marbled Frogmouth - such a beauty. I fended off the bullies and the bird rested until the evening.

Well shit, here's a couple of coincidences. I used to live in Logan, over a decade ago, and now live in Hunters Hill where this video was made. Not that big a deal, but a coincidence I think is worth mentioning.

My parents have a tawny sitting on a nest in the tree out front of their house. I’m keeping an eye out for babies. So far no sign. The fork it chose to nest in doesn’t look super safe for them I hope they don’t fall out.

Potoos are even stranger than these
@jonaskatona71363 жыл бұрын
Tawny frogmouths might look like owls, but some of the other frogmouths look less like owls and much more like potoos. And in fact, this makes a lot of sense; recent evidence demonstrates that frogmouths might be closer relatives of potoos than they are of nightjars. Behaviorally-speaking, frogmouths also have a lot of similarities with potoos.

BIBY TV thank you! I thought my pool pump was playing up, so went to look and something that looked like a tawny frogmouth was perched on the pool fence. It did not seem afraid of me, although I did not approach too closely. It sounded just like the recordings- something new in my garden in Epping!

i have an abandoned baby in care at the moment....silliest birds i've ever worked with, thank you for mentioning how dumb their nests are lol its why we get so many tawny frogmouth chicks into care every year, not the smartest birds.

That's great example of an educational video & overlaying voice to video, So what is the program you use to do this stuff, cause I'm very very amateur.
@BIBYTV7 жыл бұрын
I use Apple's Final Cut. Apple has iMovie and Windows has Movie Maker for first time video editors. Do you have either of these apps on your computer?
