There's nothing particularly fantastic about this ride: no cool special effects, no brilliant animatronics, no thrilling drops or hills... it's just a narrated boat ride through a hydroponic garden while you're told about the wonders of sustainability. But it's one of the few rides I could never stay away from. It's the ride equivalent of an idyllic poem. You get excited about farming all because the music is great and actually seeing plants get watered and just doing their thing.

I have always seen Living with the Land as EPCOT's equivalent to MK's PeopleMover.

I'll be honest, I never go into this building for this ride, always for Soarin'. And every time I think, "sure I'll go on this while I'm here" but am stunned every time by just how peaceful and serene this ride is. It truly transports you to a more ideal and sustainable world.

...aaannd THAT's one reason folks loved the original EPCOT Center so much. No need for thrill rides and IP, just inspiration, education and entertainment, woven together in a way that only Disney could do.

I think I probably listen to this track for at least 30 minutes every workday and it never fails to help me focus and stay calm in a hectic work environment.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! You are AMAZING!!! This was the ride I worked on for my WDW College Program in 2002 (back when we had to memorize the spiel.) I have such a huge hole in my heart when I can't visit, which makes it especially hard to live in the PNW and it costs a small fortune to fly to Orlando. This is going to be playing in my office ALL THE TIME!!!
