we met summer of 85 .. and traveled ever since ... that first summer we backpacked across europe for months with hardly any money . hitched across Italy . slept in a church in France and many beaches in Greece and Spain . . and we never knew each night where we would sleep .. it was fantastic and very safe .. we got back last night to our new home in UK from Santorini and Naxos . bliss

Wow, sounds like fun. As we mentioned before you don’t need a lot of money to see the world. Hope you had a good time in Greece. And thank you for reaching out.

I’m so glad to see you guys doing well and still enjoying (fine tuning) your journey together. I think most of your viewers/fans (like myself) are considering selling their property, maximizing TFSA contributions and people putting the rest in savings (low risk investments) and are considering long term rental accommodations abroad (Portugal, Panama, Mexico, Asia etc.). I would imagine most are looking for an affordable way to live in a safe, friendly area with amazing medical, food and inexpensive day-to-day expenses. I think short trips would be great, but I would like a semi-permanent place to recharge (customs, apps, paperwork and airport waits can be worst parts)… all whilst being affordable (and EASY) for family/friends to visit. And (maybe I am wrong), I believe this might be achievable with a $3,500 CAD budget and expect realistically expenses to be around $2,500->$3,000 ($850->$1,250 rent, , $1,250-> food & all other expenses). Therefore… finally able to BANK money ($6,000 pension, no house expenses (taxes) anymore, and profit from home in bank). With the people that you meet, are they mostly ‘travellers’ or mostly long-term (extended stay) ex-pats? And do my numbers seem crazy or ‘somewhat’ achievable? Thanks for the video.

Hi there. Everybody’s budget is different. If you would like we could chat for a bit. Just too many variables to answer in an email. We are in the UK right now. We are eight hours ahead of Pacific standard time. Feel free to give our WhatsApp number a call anytime. +526242677929. Cheers, Randy and Jill

Thanks, I appreciate your offer of extending your advice. Sincerely. I may do that someday. Not anytime soon (next year?). My Wife (and I) may have a few more direct concerns/questions. But your regular videos do an excellent job of gradually addressing these concerns. So… Thanks again, for the videos.

Hi there. We were worried about missing our kids as well. But as it turns out we see them more now then when we lived in the same city. For Christmas and birthdays we will buy them plane tickets to come join us in some exotic destination. At home they were always too busy. And thanks so much for watching our videos and taking the time to respond

The video where you discussed that your relationships with your children increased with their extended vacations… was the video where I decided to subscribe. I luckily have a wonderful relationship with our children (22, 24), but the day-to-day/weekly visits do get somewhat pedestrian. Are best times/experiences are always on vacations or at the cottage. Why not combine the two? … and live in a tropical place that they can stay for a few weeks/a month? That and… the money aspect.

Hi there. Yes we can relate. It’s funny though, we actually see our kids more now than we did when we lived in Canada. They are all adults and busy making their way in life. But it seems whenever we offer them a plane ticket to come join us in some exotic destination, they are all in. But for people who need it daily, probably not the best idea. Thanks so much for watching our videos and taking the time to respond.
