Living Big In A Tiny House

Living Big In A Tiny House

Күн бұрын

A tiny house can be both beautifully simple and luxurious at the same time and this enchanting tiny home located in the stunning Queensland forest is a fantastic example of just that.
Designed by the owner Jess, this house is filled with brilliant design ideas. From the panoramic views afforded by the many windows, to the clever interior layout, this home is a testament to what can be achieved when simple design is done well.
Inside, the home feels spacious and thanks to the large windows remains completely connected to, yet still protected from the forest which surrounds it. Everything has been beautifully, yet simply designed to provide a space which is functional and without excess, yet still provides a feeling of luxury. Plants, drawings and lovely lighting features throughout the home help to accentuate a sense of art and creativity.
Nestled into the forest, this off-grid tiny house enjoys privacy and feels remote while remaining close to town. With the large skylights making solar power difficult, a separate solar trailer has been constructed, which cleverly enables the panels to be optimally positioned for winter and summer light.
We hope you enjoy the full tour of this amazing tiny house. To follow Jess and her tiny house journey, you can find her on Instagram: / design.with.jess

@zakosist

I would be scared of living there mainly because of the ants, I have a phobia against them. Its not for everyone to live in the forest. And good is that, as wild animals would lose way too much of their habitat if many thousands of people from the city decided to move there too. And over time it basically just creates another city, and takes away the peace and quiet people seeking to the forest want. Maybe a nice garden with a good variety of plants, and hedge around to make it sheltered, could make a good middle-ground between urban and wilderness, that is what I want. I assume and hopefully you could put up curtains and have it a bit more sheltered indoors in a micro house. I consider moving to such a house in the future, but dont want it in the middle of the forest, and Im not fully set on it. Depends on many living standard factors, like can it keep a comfortable temperature all year around, can you put up curtains and would I really have space for all the things I actually want to keep?

So is that home.i've heard that there are some extremely venomous critters slithering around, my suggestion would be to clean up the steps around the entry and get most everything off the ground. @@Mike--Oxmall you could have a weapon to defend yourself in case of attack and practice self defense. The risk is probably not that high in the first place. At least in my country, the ambulance has helicopters to get to harder to reach areas. Cities can be dangerous too, perhaps overall more than the forest. All biomes come with their own element of danger. Either way I think people have the right to choose a somewhat more risky life for the sake of living whats a good quality of life for them. And better to have a bad thing happen once, than live all your life less complete because you're constantly worrying what could go wrong and not daring to live a good life, that of course vary from person to person what that good life is. The forest is not for everyone, but neither is the city. Id prefer the middleground, where I live in a somewhat populated area, but have my own nice garden with a good variety of plants instead of just grass, and a hedge around to make it more sheltered.

@@designunlimited6215 My only thought is the single addition of an exit door from the bathroom in case of fire. Hopefully, she has a very loud Smoke & Fire Alarm. A non-intrusive, very simple door of the same black exterior material could be used on the outside to minimize the evidence of the door. The interior portion could be taken from the two storage closet portions next to her camping gear. Those were under the two highest steps into her loft. I doubt that it would take more than a few hours for a skilled person to make the changes. I'm sure that once my Dad had the measurements, the necessary tools, and all the materials, he could have the project completed in a few hours, including any additional interior finishing to be done, as could other skilled people. 😃 She has explained that she still has plenty of space in her kitchen for things to fill the cabinets. So no worries about the items in her bathroom closet finding a new home. Plus, no one else needs to know that she has a secret exit door. If the outside door matches the waves in the pattern when the metal is cut, it ought to be almost invisible. The ONLY thing I can i imagine for the house if it were mine would be a couple kittens, one black & one white. 👋😊😁 😂 🧡👍

Rasa, I've loved your video filming and production for a long time now and have been noticing that you that in the past couple (or more years, since time flies by now) that you are adding new tools to provide more affects that are really enjoyable. While most of the houses are stationary, there have been times when you've us a drone to give us views of homes situated in places with spectacular scenery all around or from above. The locations that you and Bryce travel to so often have stunning 3-D value while we are seeing 2-D. Three that I am think of include the woman with four containers with the back living room opening to a panoramic view of gorgeous scenery. She had a huge kitchen of professional grade equipment without shelving, plus two full walls of books with many more throughout her home. Terrific lady!! Third was the wonderful young woman who was given a plot of land on her families property and positioned her home facing across a bit of low land to the sea. Her brother had a place a couple acres across from her, yet her views and the others were so wonderful. And her home was totally different in design with the two chairs at the smaller, formal entrance: so Victorian & elegant! She did so well on defining herself as she explained to Bryce. Rasa, I would bet that as often as we wonder how he's going to fit into the baby's tiny room in the tiny house (on those occasions) many of us (she said, raising her hand) also notice that the hostess has pulled out Three OR Four cups for coffee (depending on how many adults belong to the Tiny House) 'cause WE ALWAYS count TWO for you and Bryce. My sense of the process is that you and Bryce arrive, go through first introductions and rehearsal, then same day or maybe the next day, you go through the shoot. I am grateful for all of the time, meticulous care, and generosity that you and Bryce put into the production of every program. You have given us your best, with each show being is visually beautiful and warmly expressed. I hope someday that you will have an outline of your life journey from when you met to how you mutually decided that following the Call of Telling Tiny Home Stories was to be a mission in Life for you (for however and wherever that takes you). All that's needed in the Outline of your live spliced between the location of your travels. With large parts for your journey, feelings as it began, hiccups on the way, first visits, more about how, what, where, etc., feelings, clips. Or, perhaps by Bryce's hairstyles. I'd be happy to pay to see it. If it were two hours long, I would pay $12.00 to see it or $3.00 for each part being thirty minutes, as an example. I've no idea how KZbin processes charges, except that they do it. You have one of the most successful, best photographed and produced programs on KZbin. We all see how Bryce does his work and the wonderful result of yours, Rasa. I would love to hear if you two have additional dreams to add to your story. You both have kind hearts. Thank you for all these years. 🧡 🧡 Sherrill

@LeahIsHereNow the idea of someone being able to watch you, the isolation, the easy to break through glass, then add in that she's a lady in the woods all by herself with no weapons. Then just human's natural fears of what goes bump in the woods at night. I mean following this video if you was a weird guy with time on your hand, and no morals you could find her home, start stalking, and wait for an opportunity to strike. The isolation mesns you're not really getting help. I wouldn't let that stop me if I was her from living, but in America we can own guns pretty easily so any that's armed is pretty much on equal footing with anyone else that's armed and at an advantage if they're not armed, but say she goes for a walk, a dude with a knife just goes in and waits in the bathroom til she comes, then pops out with a knife like a slasher character in a film, she's cooked unless she's a trackstar. There's only exit and nowhere to really hide in there either. I would never want to harm anyone unnecessarily, but this video gave you a rough location, how she looks,the layout of her home,and that she lives alone in a secluded forest.

Fuck that, imagine being in the middle of nowhere by yourself, some serial killer might find you and butcher you, you could fall down and break your leg and nobody would come to help you. Around Christmas 2006 me and my father were out delivering packages, I needed to take a piss so we pulled over on this small country lane in the middle of fucking nowhere. As I went into the trees I noticed a car crashed in a ditch, we looked and there was a dead body in there, apparently some guy had crashed there weeks earlier and nobody found him.

City has its own dangers and could even be objectively more dangerous than some forests depending on area. People should know the risk of having harder time getting help, but also have the option to choose that risk (that is probably not that big anyway) for the option to live what is a good life to them. In my country at least, the ambulance has helicopters to get to hard to reach areas

So which is it a serial killer just wanders past on Private land??? Or she hurts herself and no one finds her dead for weeks. Seriously doesn't matter where you are...she is on private land not just building it on public land in the middle of a motor cross track!!
@Mike--Oxmall
@Mike--Oxmall 4 ай бұрын
@@ykook7000 It was actually a man. He had apparently crashed his car some how and then passed away because nobody could find him. This happened in Cambridge in the UK which is actually a pretty rural area. I swear I used to get depressed when we were driving down those country lanes, sometimes we would not see another car for miles. We were in the middle of bumblefuck nowhere. We might as well have been in the desert. It was also public land, it was on the side of this long road that connected the neighbouring towns together. Even I only found him by chance. I needed to piss and got scared somebody would see me, so I walked a bit into the trees and then I found the car and told my dad.
