I have ridden Amtrak multiple times. My favorite is Chicago to Portland or Seattle. You should definitely give it a try, you will absolutely love it!

I been to LaGrange, Illinois 3 times and it's a beautiful city to go to. It's also home to the BNSF Racetrack where Railroad enthusiasts actually take place. One of the Railroad enthusiasts that I know is a big fan of trains and he comes to the BNSF Racetrack a lot of times to record all kinds of trains that pass through LaGrange, Illinois.
