I,m 42 and first heard the dammed late night on the young ones nasty the episode was called i was still sorting my style out and when saw dave vanin i thought is the style for me i was 16 at the time and baby bat i,m STILL dressing that way even have teeth sharpened i met the dammed in 97 when they toured Australia Patrica Morrison was with them at the time they did signing and everyone there got drunk with them afterward in store lol i remember dave giving some pretty good advice too

You need to get the Damned album "Phantasmagoria" which is where they fully embraced the whole goth thing. A strong album from start to finish. They've always had the goth overtones throughout their whole career though. Moreso in these later years. Their album "Grave Disorder" from 2001 is a perfect blend of everything. One of my favorite Damned albums.

I took my 11 year old son all the way from Lapland (Finland) to see their reunion gig last October (2022) in London. Great fun! I saw them about 10 yrs ago in North London at a medium-sized club when it was just the Captain and Dave Vanian of the original four, but they still kicked butt and clearly were having fun. You cannot go wrong with Alone Again Or as an encore! In October 2022 it was my son's first real live concert and he dug it big time. The gig was at the Eventim Apollo, which meant nothing to me until we walked up with our tickets in hand and I locked eyes on the venue. I swear to god, it was the old Hammersmith Odeon, where the Who used to play, and which is featured in the B/W photo booklet included in the original Quadrophenia LP. Not being from the UK, I walked up to first guy seemingly of my vintage who looked like a local and asked him was it true. He said, yes, you got good eyes, man. Not a lot of people these days probably recognise this as the old Hammersmith Odeon. Sadly, the boys did not do any stuff from this era, because it was not the four of them playing then. Still, there is something worthwhile on all of their records, including this killer slab of goth knees-up romp!

This hit from The Damned was heard on the Miami Vice episode, Duty and Honor, which aired on February 6, 1987. Miami Vice will always be one of my all time favorite shows. It was the first to combine MTV with police action drama.

I recall watching that episode. I totally love The Damned! I've been hearing rumors of a Miami Vice TV show reboot in the works. I certainly hope not. However, if they bring back Don Johnson, Phillip Michael Thomas, and Edward James Olmos, then it might be worth checking out. It's bad enough, that there's a MacGyver reboot, which looks dreadful.
