I love what you have done with your yard. It's beautiful and very practical too. I built a similar seating wall in my backyard in Southern California. But my current yard isn't large enough for that. Your ideas are great. Thanks for the videos! BTW I bought a table umbrella that has solar lights under it so it lights up the table when the umbrella is open.

Realistically, It can be a nightmare trying doing it yourself to keep clean, attractive looking backyard like this plus a pool: the weeds battle, fallen leaves into your pool, maintenance, irrigation system going bad, tall trees/palm trimmings... forget about doing it yourself. Watching some of your plant specimens die during summer onslaught is especially heartbreaking too, lol

Some people's nightmares are other people's dreams. I love to trim, rake, plant and water. Sure beats watching TV or going shopping.

Thanks for making these Arizona videos. Very helpful even though I relocated from New York to Arizona about two years ago and then left Arizona after moving into a scary neighborhood (West Phoenix / Metro center area), but I am planning to move back to Arizona once again to the Prescott area to be closer to my ex-wife and daughter. My goal is to eventually live in Gilbert/Chandler. I really love that area. Thanks for introducing me to new areas in Arizona (Strawberry, AZ) as I plan to return.

Thanks for the video. I just recently moved back to San tan valley and wow so much different from when I first lived here in 2012. Huge question. Can you do a video on front landscaping ideas of building gardens/retaining walls. I’ve noticed some of my neighbors kind of did their own things with their garden and retaining walls and I just recently did as well. Some forgot to get Hoa approval. Can you talk about the designs on retaining walls and what we can and can’t do?

I loved your backyard! How did you build your natural gas fire pit?
@LivinginArizona3 ай бұрын
Had to connect to the natural gas in the front near the road and dig a trench to the back. Natural gas is actually a bit more complicated so as with electric you will need to hire a professional for the job.

Where is the water pumping for your misters on your umbrella?
@Handsomegenious4 жыл бұрын
Very nice, but lots of maintenance. Have a koi pond myself here in PRESCOTT and the maintenance on it is very high and time consuming. Irrigation droppers are maintained a minimum of every spring. Landscaping must be watered, trimmed, mulched and fertilized routinely in dry environment. Spraying for pine tree pests and deer repellent are a routine. One can spend half a day, every day just in maintenance. But worth every penny getting it just right!

I have been thinking alot of moving to the us lately. I currently live in Norway. I am a certified electrician (i think its called journeyman in the us). Problem is i cant find any info anywhere on how i would "transfer" my proof of apprenticeship to the US. But im guessing every state handles it differently. Could you tell me how this is handled in Arizona?Any help is greatly appreciated :)
@EmDeePhotography4 жыл бұрын
My husband is an electrician here in Phoenix. Arizona does not have a 'journeyman' label. You do not have to take a test here to work as a journeyman. Just list all your experience and you will find a job. Phoenix has been booming since we moved here in 2013.
