Lake Havasu City is considered Arizona's beach but also a spring break hot spot. But of course Lake Havasu City is much more than just a party place as they have many residential neighborhoods going up the slopes. In this Lake Havasu travel guide we check out the island, the London Bridge as well as the floating Bars in Parker. We drive out to the Colorado river from Phoenix through Wickenburg and Salome.
#LakeHavasu #Arizona #Parker
Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren. If you are thinking about moving to Arizona feel free to subscribe and check us out on our other channels.

My wife and I visited from Nebraska several times and we both fell in love with Lake Havasu City and Bullhead City. My wife Janice passed in 2020. I visited again last summer and placed a padlock on the bridge to symbolize our eternal love. I just learned from a friend that lives in Havasu that someone has determined the hundreds of padlocks are a safety hazard. Please help to restore the placement of locks and let visitors celebrate their lives together. Thank you for your channel, very interesting and informational.

I've lived in Lake Havasu City for around 25 years, pretty much my entire life (I turn 27 in December). It's a nice, mostly peaceful and pretty active place, lots of space for watersports, off-roading, hiking, etc. We get pretty slammed with tourists and travelers during the holidays, and plenty of college kids partying during spring break. As far as housing, there's no shortage of beautiful homes and spacious properties for families, older married couples, or just people with higher levels of income looking to purchase vacation properties or second homes. There's quite a bit to see and experience here, pretty unique when compared to other cities of similar size in different areas of the state/country. If you (anyone reading this) ever get a chance to visit, I recommend it. It might just become your second home.

@billping2633

@@leticiaurbach1720 I am from Chicago IL. I have spent the last month checking out the area. The locals are very helpful if u visit ask them. From what I have learned property theft is the biggest issue. This is from the nomads that drift through mostly in the winter months. So be smart don't leave anything out to steel. I am staying. I found the area to be safe if you use common scene. I hope this helps.

Have a place in Parker that I bought when I was a younger man. Wish I had bought in Havasu too. I have friends that took my a advice and bought in Havasu. Parker is ok and had better days. When I was a younger I wanted more of a party boating experience and it was and still is. Havasu has neat things like super markets, big box stores and HOSPITIALS. Parker has these things too but most are in the town proper which is 17+ miles from me. Havasu is a real city with police and government stuff. Still I love both areas. Sure it gets screaming hot in the summer but that's what boating is for.

Hottest recorded temp in the world was from Needles. I live close to a place you gotta go hang for a afternoon... Google Oatman Arizona... Old mining town with more wild donkeys than people. Our whole area is over run with wild asses bred over from 19th century mining. Look up sitgreves pass, the valley to the east of the crest is pretty cool drive down. The lake is loud and crowded with Californians with nice, real nice boats, Laughlin is Vegas south. I like to think I live in the perfect area. Hot as all get out but awesome region of the country. Golden Shores/Topock, my home is right on Az 1 and 66 about thirty miles north on the river. Enjoy your visit.

Last time there we stayed a few nights at the Nautilus resort it was Christmas. Had a great time, they have bikes to ride around the Island. We own a piece of gravel there. 😁

I just discovered this channel and I'm hooked! I love your attention to detail and how you showed your route on a map. Also thank you for all the information about the different establishments you stopped by on the way; I'm marking them down for my own trip. I did pass through this area when I was driving from Tucson to Northern California back in 2010. I was driving through at night so I didn't get to really stop and experience the area. But I was driving on Highway 95 along the Colorado River at dusk, and the deepening dark blue sky was one of the most beautiful things I ever saw. I really want to do a trip out there and experience it for real! I was originally thinking of going in July 2021 but yeah, way too hot! What do you think is a good time of the year to go, when places aren't too overcrowded but aren't totally dead either?

The problem with Lake Havasu City, beyond the unbelievable heat in the summer, is the above-ground power lines. The original planners didn't see the need to bury power/communication lines and it makes the views toward the lake unsightly. There's a reason modern neighborhoods put all this wiring/fiber underground.

Ayyy! It's great to see a vid showing off Havasu! And you picked a good time when the palo verdes are in bloom. If you ever have the chance you should really try Angelina's italian restaurant, it's on El Camino off of London Bridge road, it's really consistently good but you just have to make a reservation ahead of time or else you'll have to wait a long time.
