We do a downtown Cottonwood Arizona virtual tour. In the tour we explore the historic downtown area along the Verde River. Cottonwood is cheaper than Phoenix, cooler temperatures than Phoenix and a lot less hustle and busste. So for those of you considering a high desert option to Phoenix you may consider Cottonwood. Cottonwood has a few other towns across the Verde Valley you may consider such as Clarkdale, Cornville, Jerome and Camp Verde.

Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren. If you are thinking about moving to Arizona feel free to subscribe and check us out on our other channels.

I lived in Cottonwood from 1993 -1999, really laid back then. It looks like a scaled down Sedona without the red rocks. I can barley recognize it now. Back then the only wine you could get was from a liquor store or supermarket. Nice camera work by the way.

@@jamiestarr3086There is tarot, crystals, incense, and chakras, and then there is just telepathy on the less shallow end of things. Image-conscious people focus on being psychic and smarter than others. Real people focus on telepathy, social equality, and honesty. One idea is still based on Christian ideas. The other is not rooted in Christianity at all. When human beings are friends, they have REAL (developed) personalities within. All it takes is humor and honesty.

How sad compared to when I lived and worked there back in the 70's.Most of the 'hippies' lived up in Jerome. I used to drive CTI trucks based out of Clarkdale. My in laws owned a restaurant called "The natural Gourmet". All organic beef etc. And now instead of being an old town nice and quiet,it's been gentrified and looks more like a giant hippy store. Anybody remember Alfredos Mexican restaurant? Les Paul used to drop in once and a while and play guitar with Alfredo, all for the price of a dinner. Sometimes 'being discovered' only helps out real estate agents I guess. Oh yeah, best steak dinner in Cottonwood back then was the WhiteHorse. Last time through there,it was a sports bar. They used to have the best damn Porterhouse steaks on the planet. Sigh...

I'm enjoying living in Arizona through your videos, this one is especially nice. I visited Phoenix back in 2005, just days before hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans; I was visited my friends Joseph and Yale in Scottdale at Razormaid. We routinely went on nightly walks, the dry heat was kinda nice compared to the warm humidity here in Alabama where I now live---I lived in Denver CO for about nine years, I loved the warmer months there...also low hunidity, in fact very dry cold air in the winter which required lip balm and hand mosturizer, I wasn't used to that. Plus dry hands made it difficult not to damage my dress ties getting ready for work---dry scales on my hands would damage the threads if I wasn't careful 🙂

Cottonwood like Sedona was much better and a greater place to live before the tourist moved in. Now all you have are crowded streets higher prices, Traffic congestion, No real Drs. Now both are more expensive to live in and not family friendly. In the early days we could go to any river and have a picnic or go to the lake. Now all of that if fenced off or/and charge you for going there. I took myself a tour so I know, I lived there till I left in 1981. Would never go back there to live again.

How's it going? I was wondering if you plan on doing anymore videos of Cottonwood or the whole Verde Valley or even more about Yavapai county? My family wants to move maybe next summer, tired of Wyoming and the snow, they just had 26 inches a week ago, fell in a 24 hour period, over it. I have been watching all the videos and most of it has to do with your neck of the woods. If you are not planning on it, do you know any other channels I can check out? I am not worried about housing, it is going up everywhere. I want to know more ways of things like jobs, maybe things for kids in or around the area. My wife works at Walmart so that is no big deal. I am a truck driver so not sure how the market is in that area. Thank you in advance, have a good day and keep up the cool videos.
