Good news, Apache Lake Marina is now open for business again. Strongly recommend going back. The bar and restaurant are a blast and the rooms at the hotel have cold AC. They have both dry and wet storage for boats as well. Stored our boat there for years. The north shore camping on this lake is beyond compare, if you have a boat to get to them. As a native I can very strongly say this is the best of the Salt River lakes. Major pain to get to, but that is also a strong point, it does not see the boating pressure the others do. At 23 miles long be prepared to use a lot of gas. I could go on but I won't.

At Apache Lake, There is a boat ramp with gas pumps, and you can rent pontoons! 2 hotels and a great restraunt are there too! They also used to do "Crazy Days" on July 4th weekend back in the 70's & 80's. Our good friend Dave owned the entire place til he died in an Atv accident. Then, I heard his brother took it over. We used to go boating, and stay at the hotel, or camp regularly. You didn"t go far enough! You only went to the 1st campground off the road! You should do a video going in from Apache Junction, past Canyon Lake into Apache Lake! It's a gorgeous drive!

We've been to Apache Lake on this route before (2018) when the main marina, restaurant and motel were open . My brother was going here all the time (Tucson resident)before the fires and landslides closed the route from Apache Junction (And pretty much closed all activity at the Apache Lake marina complex 😣) Cannot wait to get back!! We loved it!!

It's back open again. Camping on the north shore is boat access only and absolutely incredible. Have many camp trips there over the years.

Apache has a great restaurant and two hotels you didn't show. They used to have a marina as I stated my dad has his boat wet docked. I remember getting soft serve when I was little and staying in the original hotel. We watched OJ run from the cops there 🤣

That road down to Apache Lake is very, very rough. I have a Dodge Grand Caravan and had to inch my way down for miles. The campground down there is a tight, tight spot. Not very attractive but I think it was cheap or free.

I live in Gold Canyon and I've never been to Roosevelt Lake. I've been to Saguaro lake (Isn't that the one by Tortilla Flats?). The road after that is closed, so I figured you can't go any further, so let me get this straight. If I go through Globe and Miami, I can hit those lakes from that end, correct?
