India has done a decent job in terms of road and rail infrastructure . 30-40 years we were a country of bullock carts and palanquins. My father used to go to his relatives house using boat during his child hood . After that farakka barrage was built and it was a game changer for North Bengal .

A Chinese traveler be it man or woman, can never have such a good time and care free visiting and traveling in India like these Indians in China. I remember 2 years ago, the India hotel and restaurant association even boycotted Chinese nationals staying in the hotels and eating in restaurants. Imagine when you admired a country so much and wanted to visit them to understand the culture, the country and people. But when you've arrived, they don't let you stay in the hotel and eat in the restaurant.

Most of those villages are deserted, with less than 10 elderly people in each village, so what do you want to see? You're just sour. This city was a poor fishing town. When I served in navy in Taiwan early 1980, I could see the city through binoculars, everybody wore gray color cloth and old run down brick houses. We used to shell the city with propaganda materials and they shell back so coastal area were mine field no tree no grass. Only 40 years, it’s a beautiful modern city.
