As a former student of Rabbi Blech at Yeshiva University, I can say that he was the most amazing teacher and rabbi I have ever listened to. He was the inspiration for me to enter the rabbinate. By the way, although we didn't have a Chabad Club in the 80's, a Lubavitcher would come once a week to the beis midrash and teach Tanya, of which I was a regular participant! May G-d grant Rabbi Blech, Shlit"a many more years ad bias Goel!

My view, HATE is a powerful yet mindless emotion. Hitler now called a madman used HATE to run his people to what most call insanity, The leaders were punished. The real problem is all, most people, who did not object. FDR perhaps the start of big government in the US. He died in his fourth term as president. A freighter was hired and landed in New York Harbor loaded with Jewish refugees from Germany. FDR would not allow them to land. They were sent back to Germany and all but less than ten died in the concentration camps. People like to say they didn't know. There were phots. The church knew. Guilty was all those who let it happen. Imagine HITLER and his nation murdered half the Jews in Europe.

@Keyspoet27 Жыл бұрын
Three million of the six million Jews that died in concentration camps were Polish Jews - and an ADDITIONAL three million mostly-Catholic Poles were killed, because what Germany wanted most of all was to annex Poland, and take over their superior industrial manufacturing. But while we often hear about six million Jews being killed, I've rarely run across even a passing reference that six million Poles were killed. And Stalin, murderous monster that he was, had 22,000 Polish intellectuals, nobles, writers, teachers, political and business leaders, poets, and other people of influence kidnapped and taken into the Smolensk forest, near Katyn, and had them executed and dumped into a mass grave, which was discovered on 10 April 1940. And then Roosevelt and Churchill colluded to place the blame on Hitler, who likely knew nothing about it, because Stalin was their "ally."

There are so many good, thought provoking things in this EPIC video! I am a Christian, but firmly believe that we cannot really understand the new testament unless we understand the Judaism of the writers of it. NONE of them ever renounced their Judaism - and all of them were Jews. I love the writings of the Rebbe, and follow podcasts that go through the daily Parshas. I am thankful to the Jewish people for having safeguarded the Torah, even the whole Tanakh, for thousands of years. Even though I'm sorry the Vatican is hoarding things that belong to the Jewish people, I am glad those things have been held safe from destruction. I hate to think what would have happened to them if they had fallen into the hands of the Nazis. Hopefully, they will eventually be returned to their rightful owners. I will have to find your podcast and add it to my Playlist. :) May Hashem bless you and your family and especially your new little daughter. ❤

Dear Rabbi Benjamin , just a healthy elucidation. In my country Panama where we had a couple of Jewish Presidents the relationship between Catholics and Jews is so nice up to the point that on the Catholic TV Channel they have a Jewish site to explain non Jewish Panamanians that the Jews are the older brothers . Also good to know that on the 1948 years when the Jesuits came to Panama they taught that salvation was a grace of open doors to both Jews and Catholics with no exception. Finally on the early days of the creation of the state of Israel one of the “ first” countries to support Israel’s independence was Panama. Best of the best for you and your blessed history.

This is the moment to remember that in the 70 ACE the General Titus and his powerful Roman Army did sack and destroy the second Jerusalem temple. It is doubtless that Titus heist the Temple sacred gold (and no gold) items because, even if you go nowdays to Rome, you can see the Titus triunph arc and clearly the menorah is among the bas relief marked in it. So, if the goths that sack Rome 400 years after Titus did not take with them the treasure, then the swag is probably in some place in Rome ¿The Vatican maybe?

I never did understand how theyre not REQUIRED to give the items back.....whether legally or morally. I mean its not like it would be under dispute as to who they belong to. If its public knowledge that they have them how is it not theft in the eyes of the world? How are they not ashamed to not give them back? Especially in todays climate of 'cultural appropriation'! Imagine having to ask for, on loan, something that's yours.
