Sean, I just went to my patch and there are only female flowers open and none of my male flowers are even close to open. I got about 6 plants in total. is it normal for this to happen and should I just make peace with it that I will loose this first batch?

No worries. This is 100% normal. The plants will catch up.

If it’s just started flowering then the males will come. It’s a common issue.
