Chad- I remember when you were trying to get home to see "someone with Covid." You told people to believe that it was real. I wondered who it was you were talking about and how they were. I'm crying so hard. I've know many people who have lost loved ones and your words finally sent me to a place where I could cry for all of them. I'm sorry, my friend. Your father is proud. I know it. I'm sorry you lost him. Peace to you and you family.

Rarely does a KZbin tear you up, but this one did the trick. So sorry for your loss my man. For most of us COVID meant loss of money or things, but hearing from someone who lost a loved one definitely puts things into perspective. There comes a point when you realize the care and feeding of a Vanagone just isn't worth it. Probably, the biggest pain-in-the-ass is when the transaxle queefs out. You can swap in improved engines, wheels, brakes, cooling systems, suspensions, etc, but, you're pretty much locked into a Vanagone X-axle and what "magic"the current crop of rebuilders can come with. The net is rife with stories of rebuilt X-axles barely making it out of the gate.

@@Ricopolico To drive these vanagon’s, you first must love them, second have money, or fix it yourself.....if you could see my shop, you’d say, yep that’s a vanagon’s owner’s shop......I’ve even got a bay. And yes, I’ve got the engine out of it, and just put the gas tank back in, and so on......if you stay ahead of the curve, the Vanagon is a great car.

So sorry to hear about your Dad Chad. I lost my father two years ago. Doesn't matter how old you are you're never ready to lose a parent. He would be so proud of what you have achieved, much love from the UK!

Chad, pat yourself on the back... you nailed it. I’ll be heading up to northern Minnesota Forest later today and disperse camp for a couple days. It will be 10 degrees tonight. The furnace in my Four Wheel Camper will keep me warm. The fire tonight and solitude is the reward. Cheers to your Dad. I like to think... actually I know I’ve passed on the adventuring spirt to my sons. Thanks Chad.

Such amazing words Chad, got a little choked up myself there. I know exactly how you feel, my Dad showed me everything I know about camping, and I am thankful for that!! I live an Overlanding Life myself, and I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for me. Cheers to all the Dads out there, who pass on their skills to their kids. Those are priceless memories that remain embedded into their lives, obviously, look what it has done to you. Also a very special Cheers to you Mike. 🍻 Dream on, and keep on taking those chances !!! Keep on trucking !!! Love it !!!👍🏽

Your video's bring back memories of trips I made with my dad before he passed away and now I make certain that I take my young son on trips so he'll have a lot of memories to draw from as he progresses on in life, you are far wealthier than most people because you are living life on your own terms, may God continue to bless you in your future adventures. Thank you Chad from the bottom of my heart for all that you do, you're an inspiration to many.

Chad ever since I have started watching your videos you were so inspirational to me. I wanted to be more like you Chad, living life and enjoying what we've got. Your messages hit hard especially in a hard time like this and I am truly sorry for your loss. Your father would not be just another number in COVID cases rather he would be remembered as a great father who raised Chad as who he is today. Millions of your viewers and most importantly you know that a part of him will always live on inside you. Remeber that whenever you watch those birds, the great natures of Utah or your amazing van he is also there with you. Stay strong and be safe brother.
