You guys should add small pond for the ducks to swim in even when it's no rainy! My grandparents have ducks, they dug a hole and laid black plastic in the hole and surrounded it with rock, the ducks love it!

You'd be surprised when the ground is saturated from rain it really doesn't take that much wind to knock down some big trees. Glad everything is okay on your farm!:)

So glad you guys are safe and had minimal damage. I had hail strip about 20 tomato plants during a summer storm about 10 years ago so I feel your pain about the lettuce but it will rebound. Best wishes always and may God Bless.

What a blessing that your family and farm was spared by the severe weather. Unfortunately tornadoes are common in your area. I had tried to farm in Brainerd, MN back in the mid 90's. Land was reasonable, but my nerves couldn't take the unstable weather. Came home to NH. I am envious of your early growing season. We are currently cold & wet on the New Hampshire farm...your green house is amazing!

I'd thought the storm shelter was unnecessary, but it's obviously a good thing to have. So glad you had one, even if this time, it was only for comfort. Such a relief too that all your animals are okay, especially those extra happy duck. Except for the hail damage, the plants will be happy with the extra rain and more sun.

Glad to see you and family are fine. Storm shelters are wonderful and highly recommended. They are a blessing in times of severe wind also, those trees can come down without a tornado. Nice seeing the tomatoe delivery and meeting a new friend. God bless

When the ground is saturated with rain it doesn't take a tornado to uproot trees. Tornados can't snap the tree and leave the stumps in the ground. Stronger construction really helps prevent damage to buildings. I'll always remember the tornado that hit Joplin a few years ago. Virtually nothing can protect against that type of storm.

Y’all were and are in my prayers and thoughts. Twisters are the main things that scare me about where y’all live. I lived in Kansas City, MO back in 1967-68. The weather was scary to a 12 year old desert rat. Black skies at noon just ain’t normal. I really love your greenhouse!

I thank God ya'll are ok My daughters friend in Arkansas was driving home when a tornado touched down in front of her.She didn't know there was another tornado behind her.Their family is ok.They said they lost some shingles and the yard was a mess.Those tomato plants are beautiful!

Praying for our friends in the Ozarks. We moved from our homestead in SWMo 3 1/2 years ago, and I don’t miss those storms! We do have some here in central Texas, but not like it was there. We did have a FEMA design storm room in our garage, which we sat in many times, but never had a tornado hit us. So sorry about your lettuce but thankful your homestead did pretty well.
