Excellent walk, I use to live there, in 1942, has changed a lot, was very interesting seeing all the streets again, I see some of the shops are still there, thanks for this most memorable film.

Good morning Pauline, I'm so pleased to hear you enjoyed it and it brought back a memory or two. I can quite imagine it must have changed quite dramatically but it's good to hear that some of the shops have survived. Perhaps you might enjoy our Sudbury walk? My Mum grew up there in the 40's and I hope she would have enjoyed seeing it as it is now. All the best to you.

We used to live near Bury St. Edmunds from 1990 to 1993 and thought it was an attractive town, but I think if anything it has improved. This is what all towns should look like, it has kept it's historical buildings and shops and has tastefully added more features, cafes, restaurants and shops. I have noticed that property there has shot up relatively and I can definitely see why. England can really do wonderful villages and towns and Bury St Edmunds must be right up there. It appears that not many units have shut and I can see why. Fabulous walking tour, many thanks.

Hi there @itsallrobbish, how nice of you to drop by and share your memories of when you lived near Bury St. Edmunds in 90's. It's very uplifting to hear you feel it has even improved. It is rather lovely that it has kept it's historical buildings and shops and also has some nice new cafes and restaurants we do agree!! You might also enjoy our walk through Norwich, if that was a place you ever went to? All the best to you.

My dad was stationed here at the airbase called Rougham Tower during WWII. He was a gunner on an American B-17 bomber, doing runs into Germany and bombing manufacturing sites. Visited there with my wife about fifteen years ago and donated his A2 government issue leather jacket and all paperwork related to his induction and service in the US Army Air Corps. Performed in 34 missions, mostly on The Spirit of Valley Forge, winning the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medals with Oak Leaf Cluster. So, yeah, I have a deep connection with BSE.

Hi, we moved here a year ago from Leicester with my work. We love BSE and we moved to Woolpit. When you say infamous are you referring to the story of the green children or are you referring to something else?

@rossspencer6189 No, I am indeed referring to the Green Children story, it's fascinated me for years
