The Bible says we simply must believe He died for our sins. Asking Him into your heart is an outward showing that you believe that, but it could also be done without belief. Either way, it's the belief that saves us!

@@drewk8 hey Andrew I struggle with this even though it sounds simple , is to believe simply the feeling that Deep down in my heart I believe That Jesus died for our sins if I feel that deep in my soul is that believing ? Or is it more of a thought in the mind ?
@drewk82 жыл бұрын
@@jb123abc if you believe in your mind that Jesus died for your sins personally, that is enough. The evidence of that is your desires will be towards God. Another word for desire in the Bible is "heart" which is where we get the idea of asking Jesus into our hearts. When we simply believe, He changes our hearts/desires to now *care* about pleasing Him. We find that we now want to learn about Him so we read the Bible out of that desire. We find now that we want to worship Him so we attend church out of that desire. So you see these things are not done for fear of going to Hell or to look like a good person on the outside. They are done because God has *made* us into a good person and so now we have a heart for Him. Make sense?

@@jb123abc good question The scripture for that would be found in Romans 10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. @Spite Knight he gave us the tools to protect ourselves. Because of free will humans make human choices. We can’t force people to do right no one can not even God that’s apparent look at the world. Some people know God and still choose not to obey. We have the tools and humanity still chooses the wrong.
@triplea61743 жыл бұрын
@Spite Knight We failed ourselves for not listening to him and believing the devil's lies. He blames us and Satan for sinning since we chose to, for he told us the consequences of the action. God plans to reconcile/redeem us and finish satan as he knew he would. If God was truly Loving he wouldn't force his creation to love him. Rather he'd gave us free Will to experience him and make choices. Choices have consequences good or bad.
@triplea61743 жыл бұрын
@Spite Knight you're confusing me with someone else when you asked that question. Not necessarily he wanted us to know it but with his guidance, not by our own. They knew it was wrong but didn't know how bad/severe it would become. He didn't kill Satan for there was still use for him since God can see the outcomes, and make good lessons/outcomes from them. Sin was now entered into the world making it corrupt. Yes he did kill parts of humanity to prove his seriousness of sin, justice, and to prevent sin becoming so rampant.

As Ray says, if you see someone about to walk off a cliff, wouldn't you try to save them? So....like you, I am pushed out of my shell. Reading more, studying more, praying more. I asked Jesus into my heart at 12 and again a few times over the years because I never felt changed. In my 20's, I had the thought I was lukewarm, but I thought, "I go to church every week, I pray twice a day, and I listen to Christian music on the radio. I'm fine." Fast forward to 41 I was divorced and living with my soon-to-be second husband. God woke me up to the times we are living in (end times) and said, "You are lukewarm. Get hot, or I will spit you out." I got hot. I cleared out a closet, put a pillow and blanket in there, and made time every day to pray and read the Bible. God gave me His precious Holy Spirit and changed me. I didn't know that there was anything more to the Christian life than talking to the ceiling. Now I have a real-live two-way relationship with the Living God. I'm weary of that "Jesus prayer" as a tool of evangelism. Ray Comfort has the right idea.

We can argue and debate doctrines all day until the week after next Tuesday but unless we have charity which is the bond of perfectness, it’s all useless. We are just as lost as we can be if we have no love that is not of ourselves but of God. That’s the best and most accurate sign that someone has truly been born again is if they love everyone. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.-Romans 10:1-4 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this Man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: and by Him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets; Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.-Acts 13:38-41 Which of the two did what his father wanted?" "The first," they answered. Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.-Mathew 21:31 To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable: “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people-robbers, evildoers, adulterers-or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’ “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.” -Luke 18:9-14 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: but if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For He shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.-James 2:8-13 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.-Mathew 5:28 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. @@JR-yj8ig shalom brother. So obedience is sin? What is the evidence of real saving faith? I am not saved because I guard YHVHs commands I guard His commands BECAUSE of my salvation. Yashua IS the Living Torah. He FULFILLED Torah( fully filled it) this is not an END or in no way does away with it. Yeshua said so himself. Yeshua being the end of Torah means He literally fulfilled it. Otherwise we couldn't have salvation. Yeshua didn't keep Abbas commands so we don't have to. That's obsurd and unscriptural. He kept Torah because we couldn't keep it to perfection. And YHVHs standard is perfection. Just like the scripture you quoted says that if we keep Torah but stumble even just one time in one command we are guilty of death penalty and hell fire. Well Yeshua DIDN'T stumble even in one area but fully filled Torah thereby taking away the PENALTY of sin(transgression of Torah) for those that BELIEVE. Believe means to hear AND obey. It comes from the Hebrew word SHEMA. Believe is an action word (verb) and must have evidence(works, yes works). We are called into good works. Be not deceived. We cannot continue in willful sin(transgressing torah) and obtain YHVHs grace. We are commanded to repent of our sins. Remember we are not saved by works and by boasting and that also includes boasting about our declaration that we are saved. We cannot save ourselves so declaring one's own salvation is boasting. We are not saved by our boasting in ANYTHING we've done including declaring we are saved. Only YHVH can save us and only if we are covered by His Son Yeshuas blood. remember salvation is for those who endure till the end. The book Yeshua quoted most was deuteronomy. Deuteronomy is where the commands of The Most High are written. Yeshua commanded us to guard His Father YHVHs commands. His commands are NOT BURDENSOME. unless u think it is a burden to not kill or not commit adultery or to love your neighbor or to not covet etc. It's MANMADE laws and traditions that are the burden. Mark 7 talks clearly about this. We must endure. May YaH give us all eyes to see and ears to hear and may He forgive us daily as we repent daily of our transgressions. Shalom

Salvation came for me when I was at the peek of my life from a worldly perspective having the highest paid job I've ever had at a top 150 company, no debt, no responsibilities, and an easy life. Yet I was lost and broken spiritually and I knew it and realized I could not do it on my own any more. I didn't know for sure what was out there but I surrendered and gave my life and stopped trying to do it all myself. That's when God came for me and I met Jesus. In my apartment by myself, never read a bible, never been to church. God showed me how much he loves me. I felt the love of God filling my soul. I began crying for 24 hours straight and repenting of all the horrible things I'd done in life which the Holy Spirit was bringing up to me. I've never been the same. Praise God! Thank you Jesus!

@@solentbum I wouldn't say anything physically has happened nor would I play victim if it ever did so that's not the point of this comment. I have never seen in social media such hatred for God and the mockery of God and Jesus is on another level. I spent a significant amount of time before becoming a Christian with a psychic and witnessed some pretty crazy witchcraft, sure I can't prove that to an athiest but it's real and definitely on a huge increase.( Stating that as people don't want the Gospel as its rejected and they want their own for of spirituality that pleases them and a familiar spirit offers that). If you look at the many changes globally in the church homosexuality is being on a huge push to be accepted and we could one day see if you don't accept this or teach this doctrine you can't preach, you've seen that with Ray himself as people have mentioned the Pope is okay with it so it has to be right. It's not that Christians are being forced yet to do much but the hatred for God and anything that resembles the true Gospel is mocked and hated so that is the main extent so far. The beginning of the video mentioned sensorship and many are facing this for stating in a professional way their views. The silencing of Christianity and the true Gospel is the start but I'm proud and thankful to God for how he is moving because I've had alot of witnessing opportunities lately. Those who respond to Gods calling for restored relationship with their creator through Jesus Christ have a great opportunity because so many Christians and even non Christians know thing are way different than it's ever been so today is the day to put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ!

@@cj6814 Sorry but may I ask for examples of 'silencing of Christianity' . You have a Constitution that guarantees freedom of speech , and a new President that converted a simple swearing in ceremony into a virtual religious service. You have a myriad of Christian run radio and TV stations , and Tax free status for any 'church' that claims it. Freedom of speech runs both ways, but I trust that you are able to accept that there is a difference between 'free speech' and speech that is threatening , abusive or demeaning and that sometimes there is a need for compromise in all of our views as we respect the views of others.
@cj68143 жыл бұрын
There's countries you can't be a Christian because it's not allowed and what I'm trying to direct your view towards is this hatred is bringing the percussion. Truly the worst I've experienced is mockery on a incredible high level but that is the worst so I'm not playing victim but every time you go to share your faith there's a good chance you'll get mocked because of the day we live in. There was a really popular comedian that made a viral video stating there's many ways to heaven and there's many platforms promoting and supporting this, something like that is making a strong statement that this is where we are headed and every chance someone who hates the Gospel they bring up either Christians need to conform to this way or they often make terrible arguments like stating the prosperity Gospel is all of Christianity which they know there is Pastor struggling to get through these difficult time holding on for their Faith in God when the doors are closed and tiths are lessened due to lack of attendance but then there's this we need to tax the church when the church had their doors closed and people really point to a preacher with a plane and say, see, look, this is what they are all after. You want proof of percussion go to a social media platform and in a respectful way state you are pro life and that it is a life and there is no moral justification for it to be ended and you'll see what I'm talking about. It's never a proof thing it's a conscious thing. If you take a class of middle school/ highschool kids and showed them a abortion on the TV screen and then you stated that's scientifically not a life just cells most likely none of them would agree with you but through conditioning people have learned it is the moral thing to offer. If you have a baby and you and your spouse are in love with it, promised to never let anything bad happened to it and some people out to harm came up and said hand it over you would overcome all fear regardless of the consequences because you know it's the only honorable right thing to do is to protect this with your very life but a number of months earlier you'd let a complete stranger go in and separate it piece by piece or poison it. Plenty of bad things happen in this world and that just points to we are the evil ones in need of a perfect Savior but in sight of that abortion is never the answer. You can't say it's medically needed because many have come against that as God has made natural delivery the safest, you can't say it's helping the people who have had awful things happen to them because as much as it breaks my heart to see things like that happen it doesn't relive the pain and anger of what has been done to them and now they have a abortion on their concious every year that birthday comes around they have to think about both incidences and I mean this with every bit of sincerity, that is a heartbreaking tragedy.... But even people who have had an abortion and has stated this regret, they get no news media and they get silenced. You might say well it should be their right to choose but the young girl scared out of her mind I fear will be pressured to make a decision that they will regret later in life. I'm saying all this to point out persecution comes from the mockery of a world who will go against the God given conscious to the point of saying they don't have one and will mock those who bend their knee to the truth and want to do what is right even when it's hard.

Common sense tells everyone that Christ has ever put under conviction to repent because we’re given a new heart. Then YES we do ask Jesus Christ to come into our hearts so he can sup with us daily. It’s written in Revelation.
@lesliehiatt89593 жыл бұрын
KTTGHMTJWYCBLAC I specifically said that anyone would repent whom God puts under conviction. I think you may underestimate the power of God and who he may call upon. Paul was one of the most unlikely people thousands of years ago that anyone would have thought could do any good for God. He turned out to be one of the best prophets spoken of in the Bible. That’s why God said: in John 6:44 No man can come to me except the Father draw him: and I will raise him up on the last day. You tried to explain to me what it meant for Jesus to come in and sup with us. Now let’s see what God says it means. John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. Anyone that has been drawn by the Father believer or nonbeliever like Paul was, they still become a new creature with a new heart. Why do you think he tells us to pray for the lost souls in this world? Yes I know the gate that leads to eternal damnation is wide, and the the gate to eternal life is narrow. So, more are doomed than not. Just know that I meant the Father can call on anyone to fulfill his purpose. And that Jesus Christ is the life the bread is the word. So, when anyone faithfully opens that door to their heart then they will be made fat in the knowledge and wisdom of God’s word. It is him that feeds the heart, mind, and soul. It’s just up to us to seek and listen with a sound mind, and a humble heart.

@psyWAR1988 Жыл бұрын
This is true in the true sense but foolish if you don't elaborate. If you truly truly believe you have salvation and yet still choose sin (and know in your heart that you're not contrite in repentance) then you've fooled yourself into believing you had salvation when in fact, you never had it in the first place. Once you let hubris take over and you think you are saved, that is far from the end of it. In fact, now that you are informed and not ignorant, turning back to sin is even more damning for your soul. You harden your heart and then God will harden it for you. Faith in your salvation is good, but faith without works is dead. Meaning, if you believe you are saved yet still act in the world according to sin, you are dead and will never have eternal life.

@@jakemorrissette1 === Mark Raines got it right. Apparently inadvertently though. Things that are different are not the same. The kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven should never be considered synonymous, or interchangeable terms. One is a spiritual kingdom, the kingdom of God. The kingdom of heaven is a real physical earthly kingdom that takes place during the millennium which Jesus Christ is physically present and reigns for a thousand years on his throne in Jerusalem. Jesus Christ uttered the phrase ''The kingdom of heaven'' during his earthly ministry and is exclusively mentioned in the book of Matthew which is still Old Testament. Jesus Christ's ministry was strictly to and for the nation of Israel and the Jews. His ministry was to preach and offer to the nation of Israel at that time the Abrahamic, Isaiahic and Jacob covenant promised to them in the OT, i.e. The kingdom of heaven. Compare the verses of scripture that describe the kingdom of God vs. the kingdom of heaven. 1 Corinthians 15:49-5 , 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. The kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom. Consider Matt. 11:12. Jesus Christ is describing the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent takes it by force. Suppose for a moment both kingdoms are the same and both phrases speak simply of heaven. Then tell us when did this event take place where violence took place in heaven and heaven was taken by force???? Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Obviously the kingdom of heaven is a physical earthly kingdom. If you don't reconcile the distinctions between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven heresy will creep in and many doctrines such as understanding eschatology will be wrong and confusion will set in. .
