Ok I am so sad about the older man. But I do know of an elderly Atheist man, Joe, was dying of cancer. My friend and I tried to share the Gospel w/him but he kicked us both out of his hospital room. That night I wept b4 the Lord over this man's rejection of Christ. Long story short weeks later we found out thru the man's Christian brother that a nurse led him to Christ hours b4 he died. So God did a miracle. Praying for this elderly man and this precious couple! Thank u Ray!

I indeed have no Idea why prayer would help the lost, care to eleborate? I hear people say this on a lot of occasions but why does prayer help the lost more than talking to them? I get it that speaking to God for wishdom to help the lost is a must. In the end the only one who can save them is God. He's a liar. I knew he was a cop the way he answered the question about where he ends up heaven or hell. He said all the good he's done makes up for the bad. Every cop who does good things during the course of their work weighs that against the bad they do. They might save a women from domestic violence & then steal money/drugs from a bust. No. We all face the same potential consequences - either extreme good or extreme bad. As such, considering we all want the best for ourselves, it is contingent upon each individual to have the best argument possible to justify their position, I would say even especially the ones who are choosing instant gratification to live as they like in this life, gambling facing terrible consequences later, and forfeiting the paradise easily available to them. Such a person better be very sure of themselves, have absolute proof. God reveals himself tangibly to any person who sincerely wants him, as is his promise. It's never an issue of proof, it's an issue of want, the bias in each one of us that determines which way we go with the evidence readily available around us. With that evidence, and a heart that sincerely desires truth, a person is willing to receive that salvation, accept Jesus for who he is, and in that receive the proof that God is.

@@whichgodistrue2004 "Indoctrined" is not the right word to use. You cannot force anyone to join a faith, and it is their choice. It is Biblical to teach your children in the way, if that is what you are asking. It is the parents job to guide them in life the best they can so that hopefully they can make the right decisions themselves when they get older. That goes for parenting in general. Salvation is a choice, so "Indoctrined" is not an appropriate word to use. Anyone can be a Christian without being "taught" to be one, but you can't even "teach" someone to be a Christian, only show them the Bible and let them make their own decisions, as well as pray for them. Any other person that has a faith will do the same, to raise them in their faith. May I ask what is your point in this?

@@whichgodistrue2004 being taught of a religion as a child is no different than being taught one as an adult. A parent raises a child to have morals and they can still change later on in life. The point is to raise them the best you can and they can make their own choices later on. Not every Christian has Christian parents and the same goes for other faiths. My parents are not Christian yet I am. I know someone that is a Christian yet they have Muslim parents. It is their choice, so saying they are forced to be in that faith because their parents are is not true.

@@whichgodistrue2004 just because a child is influenced by something does not mean that they cannot change their views on it. That is why people stay in/leave the faith they were raised in. They grow up, take the information they know, study it, and make the choice to follow or to fall away. A person could be raised Catholic and only know that, but come to read the Bible when they are older and choose to convert to Protestantism. People's brains change as they age, and so do their personalities and how they view life. They develop their own personalities capable of making their own decisions. Saying someone is brainwashed for growing up in a faith is like saying they were brainwashed for their parents raising them to have morals. Cults are a completely different subject

I tried to talk to my brother in law this week , he's an avid reader and had left a book behind in my vehicle while working with my husband. He said he had been looking for it for some time ( which btw I had told my husband on numerous occasions that it was in the truck and to let his brother know but with so much on his mind he kept forgetting ) anyway feeling this was an opportunity to witness to him, I said the only book I read is the Bible , forgetting completely that I also read my copy of Jesus in Red ( this was my very first attempt to witness to someone besides my children ) unfortunately it didn't go well as he then said he had read the Bible once when he was a kid and felt there was nothing new to learn. I said that I had heard that even ministers who have been preaching for years have said they learn something new every time they read it but he commandeered the conversation at that point and went off track talking about anything and everything that had no connection to what I was trying to tell him. I'm a shy person to begin with so unfortunately I didn't know how to reroute the conversation back to my testimony. What I should have had was a few tracks from living waters to give him, being that he's such an avid reader he may have been tempted to at least give them a glance and I would have probably been more successful in the end of reaching out to him.

He leads up to it with a statement about The Lord being a teacher from God etc,but we never actually get to hear what he originally was going to ask because the Lord "interjects" ,cuts to the chase and tells him that he must be born again etc. That was really the point I was trying to make 🙂👍 Eternity is so big and the never dying soul,well never dying,that at times one has to cut straight to the chase and at least attempt to get to the point as swiftly as possible. It can be the case that even when you bear with and listen to folk (which as I say is mostly always a good thing) sometimes they reject the truth or your approach to it & still don't listen because in God's Sovereignty He decides to leave it that way that day and perhaps forever - but all you can do is try to explain the reality of a very unpalatable truth to most men - The Gospel That's not to say we just ride rough shod over people,but sometimes we don't have the luxury of time & sometimes we get it wrong being human etc. A surgeon sometimes doesn't have the luxury of prettying up thr surrounding flesh in a cancer operation - to save the man's life he has to just take the scalpel and cut away every piece of the cancer which may well leave a number of scars or mutilation and all that before the patient awakes - I do believe that Ray was attempting to do just that,though it was a tough day in the office for him and indeed it will be an eternally tough day for the the gent who he was witnessing to unless he repents and trusts in Christ. I guess you have to exercise Ray's calling for the years that he has to know how hard it can be - hell or heaven can become very very weighty day after day 🙂👍

You read the old testament. Then the new testament is Jesus showing ppl the correct way to God and how to obey God. Satan disrupted that and Adam n Eve fell for it too giving Satan Domaine over earth that God have Adam, who traded it for knowledge damning us all.. (Subscribed years ago!) I had fun with those coins the other day. I'm housebound. I have to have a special worker come and haul me to the doctor's office in a wheelchair when I have to go. So there we were, in the middle of a doctor's office, who's middle "path" was made of cement. I told my worker what I was going to do so she would not pick it up. I tossed one of those coins on the floor, it made that wonderful "ching" sound and rolled around to a stop, and sure enough, out of nowhere flew a young woman to pick it up for me and hand it to me. I smiled and said "Thank you, but that's for you." She was all happy. I gave out so many coins that day, I barely have a handful left. Will have to get more!

It's quite convenient to make up a definition but in the real world (which is a globe), words have absolute definitions. I don't think a wife would appreciate it if her husband said that he has faith in her to remain faithful if he described that faith as having no basis -- if it was just wishful thinking based nothing on her character and "devoid" of knowledge. No, if you believe your wife to be faithful, it's due to certain things you know about her. The biblical word for faith is "pistis" which is defined as "active trust". Trust must be earned and you can't exercise the kind of faith the Bible has in mind unless you're reasonably sure some things are true. It not all a blind faith as you arbitrarily decided in order to dismiss what you already know to be true. That God exists, and you will one day give an account to Him for your life.

George was CONVICTED in his spirit and that's why he walked away (PLEASE ladies and gentlemen don't let the devil make you believe they aren't receiving the Word, they HEAR EVERY last thing that is being said and their hearts ARE pricked, they 'try' to close their hearts and minds but as one who's 'been there' that's NOT so easily accomplished), I've seen this scenario over and over again. I praise and thank God that Jason and Serene (sorry if I got her name wrong) were at least open to what was being said, and at the end Jason did tell Ray that he just mentioned to his girlfriend about them either going back to church or back to God, so once again the Lord's perfect timing here. I WILL definitely keep all of them in pray, especially George who will NEED it more than he realizes. Thanks again to the Living Waters Ministry team and God Bless you all.
