I suspected they'd replace the Whelen sooner or later. It's really a shame since it, as well as their previous 2016s, 3016s, and 612, would function just fine on an UltraVoice panel and would have taken the Federal drivers since they're all just 100 watt Atlas AS100N drivers and have the same thread size. Oh well. Great video. BTW, this siren is a Modulator 4016B. There's one in Dearborn that replaced an old WPS 2750.

I’m at the campus right now and they JUST got done testing it. I’d say it went on for about a good 2 minutes or so.

I remember seeing your video of the Whelen that used to be here. Why'd they replace it with a Modulator II? Also, after this siren shuts down I can hear the 2001s winding down.

I would ask WSS since they installed it and all of the surrounding sirens in my area.

No. I kinda lost my desire to want to find more sirens to film since I there isn't anything special that is worth recording close to me. Although I don't want to give up filming sirens cause I still love em. Sorry you miss me.
