She contradicts herself a lot. All of a sudden, you had teammates kicking your belongings, while in your presence, and you didn’t react, knowing damn well she was bigger than everyone else. So she could put hands on other women while on the court? But can’t protect herself in a locker room? She comes off really entitled, saying no to a team that wants to draft you and it’s too far for your convenience. Like wtf

A woman that is 6'9" will be different from most women. That is just what it is. We all know that the ladies don't make the money that they want. Liz and Brittany will always be different, and things that they go through will be different from most of the other girls in the league. I'd like to hear what Shaq, Dwight Howard,Brittany Griner would say about her. People who have walked in her shoes and then someone who has nothing to lose know the WNBA all get in a round table and discuss the state of the WNBA and see if other players mimic these same sentiments that Liz speak on. I remember this girl in my neighborhood was 6'8", and she was always alone, and I had never seen her smile. This was in the mid-80s when it was extremely rare for women to be over 6'4" and the WNBA was not an option for her I wonder if she went through the same things on the floor and off and what really went though her head and how did she cope with her life. I don't care about what people say about others if it doesn't hurt me in any way. Just let her live....

Taylor Rooks...great job trying to get an open and honest interview with Liz Cambage, one of the most much-maligned woman athlete's in the history of sports. At times, Liz seemed funny and comical with regards to some of the questions and answers she gave. But, the issue that I have with Liz and this interview is accountability. She would never just "own" what she has done. She reminds me of NeNe Leakes formally of the Real Housewives of Atlanta where everyone else is the problem. Everyone else lies on her. No one likes her. She is never the problem and is always the victim. There seems to be so many people involved in this situation that knows that she said racial slurs with the Nigerian national team and she has continuously denied those allegations. I think she has lied so much about the racial slurs that she just believes that she didn't say it. On another note, the only part of this interview that I agree with her is how she feels about the WNBA regarding pay, flights, being taken care of, etc. As a top athlete in the sport, you want to be paid what you're worth and the WNBA could not afford her. She, as well as many others, play overseas because they will pay more for their talents. So, until the WNBA get that right, she'll never play in the WNBA again. And, I don't think owners, GM's, coaches, and players want to see her play in the WNBA again because of all the trouble she is and has caused. But, I will say this to you Liz...."please leak the tapes, so that we can hear what was actually said because at this point, you're coming across as a LIAR."

There is a common refrain , and its a resounding chorus of it being everyone else. But there is a apparent pattern. Its always the coaching, organizations and rotten teammates , but there is a common denominator. Her having conflict, forcing her way out and quitting. I wish her solace though

She's delusional. The top players in the WNBA are barely making 200k, and she somehow thinks the team will provide access to 5 star training facilities, first class flights across the nation to all games, 5 star hotels and the like. If the leagues revenue can only provide the average player just around 6 figures, how much money do you think they have to allocate for all the things you ask for A company thats in the red every season, isnt going to dump money into things that dont give them an R.O.I. The math has to math.....🤣🤣🤣

Authentic as in showing her true lack of intelligence? It takes a special kind of stupid to think there’s a pay gap between two different groups providing two different products.

Here is an example even the most ignorant can understand.. Gordon Ramsay owns a group of very successful high end restaurants, because of the success he is able to pay his staff a lot of money. He also owned 20 food trucks that didn’t produce a very good product and was losing him money so he sells them. A couple years go by and the food trucks he sold haven’t improved their product and are going out of business. He decides he’s going to donate enough money each year to keep the trucks open and also give the staff raises. 20 years go by and the food trucks still can’t provide a product that can succeed without his sympathy donations and to top it off, the food truck staff believe a failing business deserves the same pay as a successful business because they both serve food.
