It was immaterial; the 9 count happened on a single strike, and since the spare was converted, it only scored 20 either way. I felt the same as you did, but in the grand scheme, it affected nothing leaving it as an 8.

What a match! The spare after a strike always equals 20. Doesn't matter if it's an 8 or 9.

I never noticed before how much Wendy drifts to the left on her approach. May just be the line she is playing here (not playing very deep). Also, never get this behind camera angle on TV shows.

Sixth frame count wasn't consequential as she was working on a single strike, I bet that's why it wasn't changed. Definitely believe it would have been if she were working on 2+ in a row or a spare.

Well, Liz's 6th frame did not go on 9 count in enough time. It went on 8 count cause the 3 pin fall. And that's why it did not go to 9 count!

Two legends showing off their best, duking it out! Can we PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, get womens bowling back on TV??? It's the only REAL bowling left. Watching the men play spinni-poo is just sickening to watch. It's like watching Plinko on the price is right. No art to it. They look like little kids who can't lift the ball, so they use two hands.
