It looks like liz is using mixer of dark magic and light magic to control the people around her I still try to figure out how her magic didn't effect Duke, finn, and curtis maybe they a higher level or she didn't touch there hands for a curtain amount of time to take affect since dose not long may she keeps using it right before it wears off.

It's been pointed out in-universe how some people are randomly unaffected by the magic. I'm guessing that they have better willpower than the average person, so they don't get affected as easily. Also, these people pick up on the magic, even if they don't know it's magic, so they're more immune to it now that they're aware. Accordingly, the more often it happens to you, the easier it becomes for Liz to use it.

So what’s happening here is Liz has a passive charm skill that she herself is unaware of As to why some aren’t affected by it it’s based on strength of magic Later in the story after Alicia gets “exiled” Liz approaches Gil who begins to fall under her passive charm but he’s saved by Duke who then proceeds to tell Gil to stay away from her saying you’re not strong enough to resist her wherein Gil realizes the only reason Liz charm didn’t affect him before was because he was protected by Alicia’s magic

I don't think she's a user of dark magic. More likely that her aura as a saint is influenced by her emotions. So when she's feeling jealous or feeling animosity towards someone, it's shared to the people around her and more strongly within people who adore her. I don't even think she knows that she has this ability.

Now i finally see it now the way that the story of this anime goes the way Alicia keep try to be a true villainess this is the same way as TV series The Penguin the series that take place after the masterpiece The Batman in 2022 the series started with Penguin or Oswald Cobblepot (or in this series simply call Oz) being a true villain and in the end Oz still being a true villain and as i see this anime may end the same way as The Penguin

@dazailover Just because she holds on to her ideals, that is basically lip service, as you said, doesn't mean she is not innocent. Her worldview in itself is naive and innocent, but when that view is used to rule a country, it will destroy it. It's a nice demonstration of how naive thoughts and the power of friendship can't keep a country stable for long. It's like you made a person you like a lot into the president but they have no qualifications. Nobody was ever against her, so how could she learn? (If we forget our villainess) But don't get the wrong idea. I am not a fan of her behavior, I am just understanding it from her viewpoint. I do hope the villainess makes her soon realize how the world really works. Can't stand those innocent white lotuses.

Or she isn't secretly evil sociopath (so overused) but there is something deeper to this... like she use this power to not be bullied by nobles and got carried away, drank on power, or can't control it, is doing this to mask her lack of talent so not be tosed away by gaverment, or do it out of what she sees as good intencions. Fl ( the best villainess) tells the duke that if she protects someone she protects them openly and boldly, insinuating that he should do the same and not be vague with his actions. That gets the game heroine to finally see her as a rival and the duke to blush. 😅
