Good song, thank you. I appreciate the email. It made it easier to find. I've seen you at the Factory in Marrickville and I have been following your work for a few years. I have been telling my friends about you. It's great to have local talent who can sing about life in Sydney. Thanks

Great song anyone can identify with if their partner works away from home. Military wives or here in PEI when the me. Go to work out west or when musical groups go on tour.

I didn’t understand the visual narrative. Is it that she was watching herself perform from an audience perspective and feeling embarrassed, by the way she portrays herself, and then at the end it’s her being herself as people arrive to watch her in reality, where she doesn’t need to be all about superficialities?
@KrisHithgodaАй бұрын
my take on it is not so literal- its about looking back and remembering a time and a feeling but having moved on and so far from that on your journey, then you get insights and little things that remind you of the good part of that past feeling, the feeling of coming home, and remember that feeling and you know its right because it feels like home again because it is apart of you. The visual i think is that - any way my thoughts lol

@ Yes I agree. The 4:3 aspect ratio denotes the past to most viewers subconsciously. The classroom setting would also reinforce that she is learning from her past. She does show disapproval as the music cuts out which is interesting. Maybe that is a statement that looking too much into the past can be negative. It’s a very nice piece of art.

I reckon its about the dichotomy of how others see you and you see yourself. Plus there is definitely a love metaphor there... shes undercomfortable watching herself being honest and open and ready to love! But eventually steps forward.
