Take it from the the grass sounds as "С травы бери (более подходящее - возьми)" and even that sounds weird and unnatural, usually we say "На траве" when something is lying on the grass. The only case I can imagine where you can use "С трав бери" - this is kind of dialect/colloquialism and it is answer to a question "What kind of tea should I take?" - "Take the herbal one".

I'm learning Russian language for 24 years already and I still don't know many words... I didn't know two of these slang words - друган (I didn't know that it's being created on the same base as брат + ан) and предки (I didn't know that it's used in the same way as Polish "starzy"). The most funny word in Russian language to write in cursive would be шиншилла xD

I dont think u should learn slang from the Internet, its usually outdated and furthemore is apropriate only to the curtain kind of people that u as foreigh cannot get right. Better to learn this from ur russian friends so people wd not laugh of ur attempts to sound like a native.

People can do it depending on their handwriting, yes. It's not the 'canon' way to write it, nobody in local schools teaches students to write it like this and it's not surprising that you were told not to do so too, but after using cursive on a daily basis and developing your own handwriting you just stop caring and write everything however you like. I do so too, for example, my ℊ(д) looks more like ∂ just because I'm an artsy fuck who likes her cursive ornate.

It’s a contradiction, that you live life passionately but not care at the same time. Wonderful concept. The native Russian who gave it to me is also a linguist so I'm confident his spelling is correct but I can't find it anywhere.
