Oh do that, taupe does also look soo good!! On their website I spotted a burgundy one with black handles and a light coloured strap... I think I will have a look at them after christmas/new year :> I'm so excited, wanted to buy a new handbag for so long but I couldn't decide. Actually I wanted the Alexander Wang rockie, but when I saw it I just didn't like it at all...

i did… and i do not regret! funfact: last year when i bought my bag it was around 500 bucks less… and they said they will have a price increase soon… and i have the rocco! it was all fun and joy until i realized the leather did not hold up to well, and it was heavy and lost it's structure super fast due to the studs pulling down the weigh

Your video of the BTW is the best there is. I was undecided between classic all black or Carbone (combination of light grey, dark grey and beige)... but looking at your blog and how you styled your black, I truly believe now that black is the way to go. Timeless and so versatile. May I also add that your style is amazing!

Lizzie Lo Wow, the bag surely fits a lot. One year ago, I was contemplating between this bag and the LV Twice in Empreinte leather. I got the latter but had since sold it away. The irony is one year later, I am still considering the BTW and watching your video of it again. I like the functionality of this bag and the space. I do need an umbrella at all times because it rains without warning where I am from and I saw from Purseforum that some ladies even manage to sneak in a small bottle of water. It also looks chic and not as too trendy a style that one might grow tired of.

yes, all the time! what i've resorted to is always carring a hair tie and if im wearing the bag crossbody i do a quick bun and release as soon as i take it off however the fact that the buttons allow for different sizes and they look good i just learned to live with it its the only bag i use

thank you!!! actually if i were to choose between the two i would love the puzzle in small in black, as a all around cool bag, the tan medium one is nice for everyday casual, but the size of the bytheway is perfect for day-to-night kind of purpose… aesthetic wise, i love the puzzle because it adds a lot to the outfit whereas the bytheway is a silent companion who's got your back…

yes, the shape has maintained pretty much the same after 2 years now no, my black one shows no wear whatsoever i am so happy to know its useful, believe me, after i did this review i went and got the taupe one ;)

i havent worn it as much as the black one but its looking as good as new will try to wear it a bit more but im sure its just as durable [it has one little scratch from a energetic greeting from my child-dog so i know who's to blame there! but still the color is not removed, its just a change in texture if anything]

Thanks for the review Lizzie, it's definitely been a lot more informative than some other ones I've seen. Since you've had it for a long time, how would you say the leather holds up? If there are scratches would they be very visible?

thank you, i am glad you find this helpful! i think it is holding up beautifully, it's not too soft to the point it sags… it's just as new but a bit less stiff. the scratches are barely non visible, with my taupe one they do show more tho… the only thing is that i feel the leather is calling for some major hidration creme because it's a bit dry and hot here where i live and just for maintenance purposes i will ask the peeps at the boutique on what can i use just to make it look healthy again [which is not bad at all, but to avoid it getting to a point of no return]

i love the puzzle!! and if you can't stand middle zipper compartments the puzzle is one big room to put anything, but if you prefer to keep everything separated, the by the way is great for that. i actually just got the puzzle pouch which is a sliced version of the bag, and maybe something key to note, the leather on the puzzle is thiner and softer, which allows the folds to flow… and the puzzle is a bit thicker and structured… so it depends on the look you prefer

I have been looking for a review on how the bag wears so this was perfect! I am hoping to get the by the way bag, but the larger size, for my birthday next month! I put about as much in my bags as you, so when you expand the strap to the last notch and wear it crossbody, does it seem sturdy enough to hold? I'm just afraid that if I'm walking and the strap comes apart the bag will get scratched. I'm sure I could find a longer strap, but I love the look of this one!
