Some people might think this is sexist, but I've always thought that women in sports like skateboarding or snowboarding aren't pushed enough to reach the level of men. They win gold medals doing tricks that men moved past twenty years ago. It's like the want to purposely hold back their own development and the development of the womens side of action sports. You look at someone like Red Gerard, with his size, and there is no reason women can't be doing the tricks he is doing.

You straight up have that all due respect tone going on. Woman are progressing woman and skating has not been as accepted at men in skating so time is a factor there. Even if you are talking about new skaters the skaters before them have paved the way of what is possible. New woman skateboarders have now some of the resources of looking at other woman accomplish those feats. So it is simply a matter of time and progress of the collective that is skateboarding. Open your mind a little bit as well into different factors like center of balance and muscle mass/ flexibility. I believe in the future we might see skill sets of skating yet to be explored thanks to woman being more excepted in skating.

Women's skateboarding wants (or has gotten) the same prize as men's skateboarding. The unfortunate aspect is that the majority of women's skateboarding skills are akin to how male skateboarders of the **1980s** were. Understand the reality that women's skateboarding are almost **three decades behind**! Lyn-Z Pastrana did the 540 for the first time a decade ago and only a very few girls have done it since. The only girl who will possibly progress women's transition skateboarding is going to be Sky Brown! Every other woman who tries transition will be left behind, unless something very progressive is done.
