This song made me cry my face off ❤ I survived a s*icide attempt, beat alcoholism, beat drug addiction, have been hit by every man I’ve been with, and apparently couldn’t have kids… Now I’m a single mother (a great one) to my miracle boy, sober for 6 years, and an EMT… had I not survived in 2008 who knows who else wouldn’t be with us. I still struggle with ptsd but it won’t hold me back. And I won’t hold my son back. Life is HARD but I’m so happy to be alive.

I am a 60 yro white lady from WV. I believe that Lizzo is a super hero. Her music is amazing, her lyrics touch everyone’s heart that takes the time to listen to her, she is enormously talented, she gives back to her community, provides a positive role model for young people and I feel very blessed to have been around long enough to enjoy her music! I was so sad I didn’t get to see her in Tampa when she was here! My granddaughter, Trinity showed her to me way back in the beginning of her career and I have followed her since then. I often think about the little kids that get to grow up with someone to look up to like Lizzo, how much pain and discomfort they won't have to grow up with because they have solid proof that with enough talent, work, and grit they can be anything they want to be, including a singer, a model, even a superstar. I grew up in the early 90s, where I never saw anyone with my body type on tv. To see the world changing for the better is really a beautiful thing. I've been listening to Lizzo's stuff since the "coconut oil" days, and to see someone so deserving, kind-hearted and authentic get the success they deserve, is really such a wonderful thing to witness. What I love about lizzo is the fact that she's unapologetically herself. Something I wished so hard that I could be growing up. lizzo makes me cry with every song. she is such an inspiration to me. her lyrics really hit me as someone who struggles with suicidal ideation throughout my life and deal with heavy shit. her music always makes me feel seen. she is such an amazing, talented, and uplifting artist. there is no reason to dislike her bc she's so unproblematic. I love how she shines and keeps being herself and showing others they don't need to look a certain way to be loved.
