What an amazing band. I dont know a single person who wouldnt love them to pieces. Relatable lyrics, catchy tunes and an amazing live show.

I don't care if you didn't like these guys, which in really do, but you can not discredit them, they were all excellent musicians, very tight and put on a great show. You don't see to much of that combo any longer.

These guitarists were so good - I wonder why he keeps going through so many guitar players and musicians...? That's always been the case, an unstable line-up. I know one of them (Alex) died, but there have been so many.

Growing up in the 80s I absolutely despised this band throughout my middle and high school years just based ofbtheir looks. Until a friend of mine got a copy of master of disguise. One of the most underrated bands in the 80s. By the time they were promoted the ship had sailed with grunge rearing its head.

A very talented band that had great songs, great melodies (I think Menace To Society is a masterpiece), but unfortunately had very, very stiff competition in that Maiden were still going strong, thrash was becoming the rage, and people had seen enough of the 'shock' element. Glad to see they are back and still putting out incredible tunes.

I remember playing the first two records a lot back then. I didn't like the direction they went in after that. The song writing on the "love you to pieces" album is superb, even though some of the lyrics are pretty gross.

why ? because I told it like it was. They weren't a bad band, but they are what they are, an obscure metal act that never caught on.

Iron Maiden's sound with an Alice Cooper act...doomed to obscurity by Metal Blade and no big name manager.

Lost in that void between thrash and glam metal.. never quite found their fit did they?

@@masonb9788 yes and they had a image similar to Wasp who got the lions share of publicity back then. To the casual fan they may have looked like a Wasp knock off.

They didn't get radio play. lack of metal blade putting out a video. I think Me Against The World was their 1st one. There should have been videos for songs off Menace To Society. Lizzy Borden should have been bigger. They are right there with Ratt, Dokken, Poison.

They are pretty well known. I wouldn't call them "obscure". And they are still one of the best heavy metal bands in the universe, IMAO better than the massively overrated Iron Maiden.

@magister39 pretty well known? are you kidding me? The band never even had a gold record. Never one hit song on radio or Mtv. Never landed the opening slot on a major tour --outside of the hardcore metal head cult they r very obscure. I saw Lizzy Borden once...1990 on Master of Disguise tour, this was when they at least had a video on Headbanger's Ball and I swear there was no more than 150 people at that show. And that was in "their prime."

Just because a band isn't well-known or doesn't sell well doesn't mean they're not good. Sometimes it just means they had bad management, bad timing, an unstable lineup, record company went under, etc. History is full of good bands that never made it, as well as less deserving bands that did.
