In addition to being a world class song writer Lizzy’s musical sensibilities are at the highest level humanly possible. This is evident in what she chooses to cover and the way she provides so much musical sophistication to her arrangements. Then when you add her incredibly dynamic and textured vocals you wind up with a quality cover that’s only attainable by a select few human beings.

@@EmJane995 show me where I tried to stop anyone from doing that. It’s one thing to appreciate it, but this is a whole different level. A combo of trying to sound smart and being as over the top in praise as possible. I mean seriously, her “incredibly dynamic and textured vocals” creating a cover of such a quality that is “only attainable by a select few human beings”? Overly verbose much? Just say she has a good voice, damn.

never heard this artist before. and from the get-go, the unique choices made here work. dig the use of the low guitar strings as well as the nail strum versus a true fingerpick--all equating to that deeper, earthier sound. her voice is unassuming & pretty--it fits thematically with the song's approach while leaving me betting she has a much broader range that she's keeping in check here. to those who know the official video well, when thom yorke goes underwater in the headfishtank thing ("this is my final fit / my final bellyache with no" ...)--a gorgeous, subtle, underused piano accompaniment comes in. Sidebar, the "my final bellyache with" line is one of the most biutiful harmonies btwn thom yorke and ed o'brien maybe ever. in the above version it sounds like the artist is harmonizing with herself but how can i be sure. the bridge fits the interpretation well. almost sounds like something from andy yorke's (thom's brother unbelievable truth outfit) here in this earned solid understated folky moment. the end is without any big crescendo/decrescendo in vocal, harmonic, or instrumental swagger beyond leaning on some tight ass production moves and some subtle but noted keyboard swank. it's a phenomenal cover all in all. thank you if you read this far. one of my favorite songs of all time done justice. loved the listen. keep up the good work. bravo kudos, lizzy mcalpine!
