Hi Sir, the simota air intake system you use is open pod right? is that suitable for AT or CVT inspira? need your opinion..tq sir
@ljanhong
@ljanhong 5 жыл бұрын
Yes im using open pod filter in this video. I dont recommend using open pod on any AT/CVT car as open pod usually suffer from low rpm power. And as AT/CVT cars tend to keep your engine at lowest possible rpm range, you will feel underpower on daily driving.
@Ayzprella
@Ayzprella 6 жыл бұрын
bro, since you are using the simota aero kit as in the video, would u recommend upgrade or stock air filters ? thnx
@ljanhong
@ljanhong 6 жыл бұрын
It depends. Using simota Aero kit or any other open pod intake kit will sacrifice low rpm performance, most noticeable below 2k rpm. Hence making it not suitable to drive in 'Stop and Go' situation. Stock intake will give you a lot more torque in the lower rpm range. But if you are going to tune your car, then open pod intake does make sense as it makes a little more power at the high rpm range. IMO stay away from open pod intake if you have A/T or CVT. So if you like the loud intake sound and doesn't mind losing some power at low rpm, then go for it. Otherwise, stay with the stock intake, they have more linear power delivery.

BTW I have a drag race video between my Inspira and Satria Neo R3(CPS) coming up very soon, from there you can see my car is struggling to pull away at lower rpm despite my car is having 170bhp, while the Satria Neo R3 is pretty much stock with full R3 exhaust system. Stay tuned!

Just bumped into this video as I was looking for used Manual inspira. How does this car fair against a Neo Cps? I know it's unfair to compare both since they are meant for different purposes but overall as a manual enthusiast car what do you think?
@ljanhong
@ljanhong 5 жыл бұрын
Neo cps have slightly quicker steering response, means less steering wheel input than inspira when turn in. Both inspira and neo cps have fairly short throw shifting. Neo cps's suspension is stiffer but still driveable for daily commute, inspira stock suspension is on the soft side, very comfortable for daily driving. Power wise, cps engine is more 'torquey' at lower rpm, inspira's 4b10 have more grunt on higher rpm. But 4b10 feels very smooth pulling all the way to 6.5k rpm. Fuel comsumption inspira is far better than cps, no contest. Built quality also inspira win by miles. Interior quality on neo is pretty much unacceptable, inspira's interior is well built with solid parts. Overall, neo cps is better to drive than inspira (both stock), inspira is much more refine and comfortable. *One of my friend own a Neo CPS R3 manual and i drove it quite often, even took it to the track. So i know neo quite well.

@@ljanhong thanks a lot for the detailed reply. I am leaning towards inspira also as the 1.8 manual ones are getting quite affordable. Seems like as a overall package, inspira wins for the greater build quality and as a daily driver, at the same time offering similar level of performance. My only gripe is that the Neo looks quite a bit better than inspira, but thats just personal preference. Once again thanks for the helpful response bro, appreciate it.

Raimi Amy its true that the manual clutch pump is quite fragile IF NOT taken care well, so does the cvt. With proper maintenance it shouldnt be an issue at all. At least no issue on my 6 years old car.

@@artinmotion7404 manual or cvt depends on your self. Most people say manual is tiring in a trafiic jam, but if you like driving manual then traffic jam is not an issue at all. So decide base on your own preferences, dont just take my word for it. For maintenance, flush your brake fluid every 30k km with good quality brake fluid. Dont cheap out on lubricant.

Hello @ijanhong. Very impressive to learn that your Inspira 1.8 manual is serving you well all these years. I just got a preloved Inspira 1.8 manual recently and I’m loving it. Wanted your advice on the normal water Temperature reading on your Inspira and Im wondering what’s your mileage now?

Similar acceleration with my vios 1.5 manual but it seems to have more torque. How's the fuel consumption? Is clutch really an issue for manual? Maintenance expensive or not? I'm planning to get an Inspira 1.8 manual.

A lot more torque than vios actually, acceleration looks similar because this car is almost 300kg heavier than vios. But overall driving you’ll definitely feel more power across all Rev range. Not to mention the handling is miles better also. Fuel consumption is consider average, similar with other 1.8 car on the market. Of cause it consume more fuel if compare to vios 1.5L. Clutch pump is a common issue ONLY if you do not take care of your brake fluid. I had been driving mine for 10 years and never had clutch issue. My friend’s also drove for 5 years now without any clutch issue. It’s how you maintain the car. Maintenance is expensive if you opt for genuine mitsubishi part. But there are tons of aftermarket OEM maker and half cut item if you are tight on budget.

Modern Variable Valve Timing are different from the old days Variable Valve Timing. Most modern VVT works continuously to maintain good fuel efficiency at low engine speed and give extra power at high engine speed by lifting the valve higher and longer. Some VVT however (Honda B series Type R, Mitsubishi 4G92 Mivec) only lift the valve at high engine speed, so the different between the crossover are larger hence louder crossover sound. Most modern engine with CVVT doesnt have loud crossover sound anymore, even the new FK2 Civic Type R doesnt have Vtec engagement sound. Power delivery are more linear across the entire RPM range. If you noticed, BMW's Vanos doesn't sound loud either. But you can definitely tell there is a power different after 4k RPM, it pulls harder at higher RPM range due to the bore biased nature of 4B10.

bro. kalau buang catalytic converter tu apa efect dia? FC ok?
@ljanhong
@ljanhong 7 жыл бұрын
1.) Better gas mileage. When you remove your spare catalytic converter, you’re allowing for your exhaust to exit the engine at a faster speed. This in turn lowers the back pressure in the engine which ultimately decreases the strain. 2.) Increase in horsepower. This is the same concept in how catalytic converters affect the back pressure within the engine. When you remove the converter, you’re allowing the exhaust to exit the engine faster which in turn increases your horsepower. 3.) Better fuel options. Vehicles that have catalytic converters can only operate with unleaded fuel, but when you remove them, you’re allowing yourself to put a more efficient and high performance gasoline in the car. 4.) Better sounding exhaust. Just like how the purpose of a muffler is to muffle the loud noise caused by the exhaust exiting your vehicle, the catalytic converter does the same thing. If you remove your converter, you’re giving your car a louder and more distinctive sound.
