@ihdz75 Yes, well Yemenite Jews lived in Yemen for about 2500 years. So I guess they would be affected by the dominant culture. Yet, curiously I noticed that this man's name is Zion Golan. Hmm. Sounds like after 2500 years in Yemen, the singer's parents were Zionists. What do you think about that? The survival of Jews and their dreams in a culture a hundred times more populous than their own is far more impressive than the fact that he was affected by the prevailing culture.

You are 50% correct. There is no such thing as a Jewish race, for Judaism accepts converts of all races. Yet, the Jews are a people whose national identity is Israel. Sorry, but it has been that way from the beginning. So if you can have that big peninsula called the Arabian Peninsula all to yourself with a host of Muslim countries, then little old Israel can exist on its ancient inheritance between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River.
