Why do they pause after each movement? Isn't that old school? Why not flow better and faster? Or at least just pause after a few flowing movements.

Strongly agree Mr. Tong. Keep in mind that they are students from the academy who are still learning. Every day they improve in their technique and their movements are increasingly fluid as well as explosive. This video is a few months old. And there is also another aspect that should be noted for stage fighting, that the movements must be both fluid, but also very well marked for the camera. They must be clearly visible on camera. It is one of the great differences that this performing art has with martial arts. That being said, we are training every day to improve the balance between these two elements. As well as in many other aspects, such as explosiveness, control of punches and kicks, and of course precision....

@@LKstunts Oh okay. I didn't realize they are students. I apologize. The students are doing well. When I talked to one of the stars of Big Trouble in Little China at a martial arts tournament a long time ago, he told me that when you do action films, you have to exaggerate your movements. I always remembered that. And, yes, you are right that the camera has to be property placed. Camera angle is important to capture the strikes properly.
